Hellraiser 3 26/52

Crap. I never bothered picking this up because it's the R-rated version. Weak.

Timecop still available in a quadruple feature collection and in double feature with Bloodsport.

http://www.amazon.com/Van-Damme-Coll...8171789&sr=8-5

It's also being released on Blu-ray as a double feature with Timecop.

By the way, thanks for updating the thread.

Looks like Paramount is following WB's lead and discontinuing most of their catalog titles.

Actually, Paramount has been doing this silently over the past couple of years. The problem these companies are facing is the lack of stores with shelf space, the parent companies push towards Blu-ray and digital distribution and the emerging DVR option that companies like Warner are putting out. Hopefully, the discontinuation of many of these films will let third parties like Criterion snatch the rights for lower rates.

Appreciate this thread is a lot... found out a lot of my old titles are worth $$.

Back in my Columbia House days I picked up a few...

Orlando
The Harder They Fall
Safe
California Split
The Charlie Chaplins

The Fassbinder titles from Wellspring:

Effi Briest
Gods of the Plague
Satan's Brew

I think most of the Fassbinger Wellspring discs are OOP now.

There are a TON of Paramount titles that have disappeared and are going through the roof. Harold and Maude is one in particular.

Others i've noticed are stupidly expensive: Race with the Devil ($50+), The Entity ($80+), Play It Again Sam ($40+)...

If Play it again Sam is hard to find, why is it stupid that it is 40 dollars??

The cover of Race With The Devil always makes me laugh. It looks like a TV movie of the week.

90% of the recently discontinued Paramount titles are available via download (Harold & Maude is avail. on both Netflix and Amazon).

This is the future of home video (it certainly isn't BluRay, with only 18 titles scheduled for release next week).

Hardcore collectors might pay 40-50 dollars for a rare copy of a great film (like maybe The Conformist in about 3-4 months from now) but for every title like that there are 100 you couldn't get a dollar for (much like the value of currently in-print discs).

I miss the days where you could make a living selling dvds online.

I don't have any interest in download at this time. So I'll keep hunting down disks.

I made a little over $160 on 7 DVDs because of this thread. Agree with you about the other titles though. I'm trying to thin out my collection and already knew that some of my DVDs wouldn't fetch a dollar but it was nice selling others and non-Criterions for $25 or $30.

Though it is kinda depressing that these films are it. These DVDs that went OOP won't be returning and will be released via digital download.

Re: Listing of Regular Edition DVDs that are out of print (OOP) and valuable

A lot of the studios have decided to release in multiple film sets. I think they will release in 4 or 5 films a unit. Also they license to lionsgate and others. I think they realize with dvd, they can't release 1 dvd sets as easily. Also Universal and Sony often reissue the oop titles. Sony brought back Man who loved women, Spanish prisoner, the front and others. So don't be so sure its just digital downloads in the future.
