Re: 'Let The Right One In' US dvd subtitle issues
I was at the Target in Holyoke, MA tonight and they had a corrected copy. It was listed as Subtitles: English (Theatrical), Spanish. They had three copies, two in the horror section which were the old release not listing theatrical subs, and one under the IFC Indies banner that had the corrected subtitles. I tried to take a picture using my cell phone, as well as my girlfriends but they where not coming out clear enough to read.
I am heading out to another Target tomorrow as well as a Best Buy and a Newbury Comics so I will check both of them and bring an actual digital camera to get pictures.
I didn't buy it because I didn't want to pay $19.99 for the movie, but I will try to get a better picture tomorrow. If some people can check their local stores to confirm as well that would be great. I really didn't think this would ever get fixed, especially not this soon, yet I would always check just in case. I was really surprised to see the Theatrical subtitles listed.

so all we have to look for is "Subtitles: English (theatrical)" on the back of the case? did the old release not say this at all?

So definitely "order at you own risk".

lol. Like magnolia gives a crap about us. They didn't give us a replacement program, they didn't do the disc right, they didn't immediately fix the problem. Of course they aren't going to issue any sort of press release, they've been operating under the (true) idea that 75% or more of their consumers don't even know anything is wrong.

I will be interested in hearing the thoughts of anyone who does buy these corrected versions, if they indeed are fully corrected.

I saw another one with Theatrical subs listed at the Target in Hadley, MA, nothing new at the Best Buy. I was unable to get a picture, but both my local Targets had one copy of the new release. They were the same upc number as well.

..oh god, oh god...yes..yes....YESSS! Please tell me it is!
