my best buy in boston had like 10 SD Cases, 3 BD, 3HD, when i was there and they had shelfs of non cases

I snagged the last briefcase at East Hanover, NJ Best Buy. If my Amazon order ships, I might try to flip it.

I placed my order for the 5-disc briefcase (normal, not HD or BR) through Amazon on December 11. Got a shipping notice on Dec 16, it should arrive tomorrow (Dec. 19).

The SD-DVD briefcases are not selling that well on Ebay so those who miss out should check there. They aren't selling for that much more than BB.

I placed my order for the SD briefcase version for in-store pick-up at Best Buy, around 3:30 a.m., and got the E-mail at around 7:00 a.m. stating that my order was ready for pick-up. I went in before work, went to customer service, and got it. They did have a few of each version of the briefcase (SD, HD, and Blu-Ray), sitting on a new release table at the front of the DVD section. I'm glad to get this set. The movie is a blind buy, for me, but, I've heard only good things about it, am a huge fan of Harrison Ford, love the stories by Philip K. Dick, and am fond of collectible sets. So, I can't wait to dig into this. I will say that the set (briefcase, extra stuff, how it is arranged) is awesome. Very nice.

Best Buy in West Hollywood, CA was all out of the 4-Disc versions, didn't see any briefcases either. Only the 2-Disc version was on shelves.

I had ordered mine from Amazon but went to the BB in Watertown, MA after worked and picked up the case for 54.99 (they had about three I think) and then canceled my Amazon order

FYE in Lakewood NY had a SD set, a BD set, and the regular 2 disc. no HD releases in sight.

No luck finding any HD-DVD releases at FYE around here (though I saw a BD briefcase), and their website's sold out too. I might just hit up Amazon or Borders instead, but this would've been a good time to spend my FYE gift card.

I think it's safe to say these things will be oop very soon lol. Collectors item?? Maybe but there's a lot of them out there if you can find one that is. I'm still waiting for amazon to ship mine.

I found all versions at Movie Stop yesterday, picked up 5 disc HD.

Same here. I have read the "novel" and liked it. So hopefully i am not let down, but with Ridley, how can you?

It's a blind buy for me as well. Just couldn't pass up a set like this one! All i need to get now is the damn case shipped from amazon.

If they already produced all 103000 sets (plus the Canadian run), then it's already out of print.

Stopped at my local Best Buy last night (Flint, Michigan), and there were no briefcases left. Or maybe there were, and they were all "buried somewhere in the back room" with the 3D BB exclusive cover Halloween that they couldn't find.

My guess would be that the Canadian run is a part of the 103000. Not only because the back of the case listing the specs has the Canadian rating along with the U.S. rating, but also because every single case I saw in stores yesterday (Edmonton, Canada) all featured the same _____/103,000 sticker on the bottom that is on my Blu-Ray copy that came out of the United States.

FYI - For those having a hard time getting a copy at B&M stores yesterday, the online site I ordered one of my sets from, still shows as having stock of both the Blu-Ray and the HD set, with same day shipping on each. CDuniverse.com

Stopped by Target this morning. They had 2 of the 4-disc dvd sets, and 1 HD DVD set. No site of BD, but they had the slot for it. No briefcases, but I didn't expect them to get those in.

Well my Amazon SD Briefcase of Blade Runner was delayed. I don't know why I preordered way back in July. Good news the 3 cd Blade Runner soundtrack was shipped from Amazon so I at least can listen to the music.

This is what pisses me off. Last time I pre-order from Amazon. I ordered this back in July and plenty of people who ordered after me have gotten theirs shipped.

Same here. I got an email from them asking me to approve the delay, and that if I didn't approve, I could cancel the order. So I went to the site and the item is listed as "Shipping Soon" and says I can't cancel or change the order! And there are no HD briefcases to be had anywhere near me.

Just to be safe, I ordered one from DD last night. I'll' keep whichever one gets to me first and return the other.

You shouldn't be disappointed at all but you have to look at the book and the movie as two different entities. They are both great and they are both very different.

Just picked up the 4 disc from Best Buy in North Dartmouth, MA. They had a ton of the 2 disc SD and 4 disc SD and 2 copies of the 5 disc SD. They also had one copy of the HD briefcase. I would of picked up a briefcase but I can't really justify paying $30 more for a plastic briefcase, some toys and a fifth disc I will most likely never look at.

My order at Amazon is finally shipping soon for the 5 disc HD-DVD Complete Collector's Edition version. Placed the order Sunday afternoon. However if it doesn't ship within the next day I give it little chance of getting to me before Christmas.

Keep us posted Laser.. I placed my order last night with a projected ship date or 12-24. Usually it ships before that date but who knows. Did you get that notice that we should expect delays as well?
