Crap, my BD 5 disc set is showing delayed. Oh well.

Well my HD DVD set is in the mail. But Warner is always good about such things, sorry about those with delays.

My amazon order isnt delayed, still has an expected delivery date of Dec 20th. Hopefully that doesnt change.

I am going to speculate that this issue solely applies to Amazon and the amount of pre-orders they received vs. the amount of stock they received, as I ordered to copies from two different retailers. My dvdempire order shipped Friday. And my CDuniverse order shipped this morning. Both Blu-Ray Ultimate Editions.

Looks to be an isolated incident with Amazon only. Everyone who ordered elsewhere has got their shipping confirmations, and people have already reported numerous sightings at B&M.

It ain't delayed, just looks like Amazon took too many preorders and they can't fill them right now.

Mine was shipped yesterday, but I'm from Mexico, and I selected the Priority option so that's probably the reason it got shipped early.

So the question right now is: Is Amazon shipping any sets this week? I pre-ordered in July so I am hopeful they will ship some units this week. Still waiting for their system to show shipped.

I'm sure they will. I've never seen items enter the "Shipping Soon" status when they don't really have stock to ship.

Well, trying to get a direct answer from Amazon is worse than pulling teeth. From what I can understand it appears Amazon only got so many sets and they are limited. If you try to order a set now you will not get one right away and they don't know when. It seems the pre-order buyers are going to get their sets this week. I will feel alot better when I get a delivery confirmation email from them. I am still waiting for one of those for my Kindle, now THAT is one headache!

I got one stating that my order has shippped...

I just called my local best buy and the guy said "o yeah we are getting several of them" I said well there is 3 different versions, are you getting the 5 disc briefcase edition, and he said yes.

I too pre-ordered early (July 27th to be exact). So hopefully mine will ship soon.

Has anyone else ordered from Columbia House? Wondering if they are going to be in short supply. Looking at my account, still shows pre-order.

Anyways, I ordered mine on August 2nd and it says shipping estimate is December 22nd. I don't really care when I get it, though.

Oh well, at least we know it isn't WB thing. Paid for shipping now but I'll get it before Christmas.

Mine says it will ship December 24th with an estimated delivery between January 2-8. If I have some time I may try to swing by Best Buy and pick up one just in case.

I guess I was one of the lucky ones because I got an email yesterday that my briefcase edition was shipped. I have a delivery estimate of December 19th. I live in California and I selected the 2 day shipping if that helps anybody.

There's obviously no shortage of the 4 disc version at Amazon. I ordered one yesterday and it shipped this morning.

mine shipped from amazon earlier this afternoon.

I ordered the HD briefcase version from Amazon on 12/8, and it shows that it shipped today.

I called Amazon and they claim that my blu-ray briefcase will ship today, though it still says Shipping Soon.

MY BD copy (non-briefcase) says Shipping Soon. I am going to be super-pissed if it does not go out today. I definitely wanted this before the holiday.

Yet another WB pre-order at Amazon I'll wind up looking for on release morning.
