Damn, I think this will be the movie that'll help me quit my "I got the first 2, might as well buy the 3rd." habit. I hated the movie and to top it off, those covers look stupid.
Should've had Spider-man on the cover, then a transparent slip cover with the black symbiote that goes over Spider-man. Kinda like when X-men 3 had that trasnparent slip cover with Wolverine's claws. Wow, I'm a fruckin genius! That would've been nice!

The cover is simply lifeless. There's no sense of movement At All, even though he swinging through the city a hundred feet up. Of course, about 8 million custom covers are going to be created, so it's not really an issue.

This is a Futureshop (Canada) exclusive.

Unless Future Shop has a steelbook with art that just features an image of the chest area of the black costume with the film title emblazoned across it in the Playstation font (wasn't there a poster like this or something?), then I'll pass on the steelbook. Won't really go with the standard keepcases I have for the first two in the trilogy anyway.
If they're smart, they'll put out two different steelbooks (like they're doing with Transformers): one for Spidey's red/blue costume, and one for his black/symbiote costume.

Looks like the pic on the FutureShop site updated.. The new image appears in previous post. Not sure what that tab is on the side.. It wasn't that hard to open these steelbook cases.

Hmmm, the steelbook pre-order disappeared from the futureshop website.. hopefully it's to revise the artwork!
I want something really simple like just the black spider logo, or the poster of spidey all in black crouching in the rain!

I just bought my copy of "Spiderman 3" today. Region 3, two disc set.
I'm going to be honest here but I'm kinda disappointed with the menu screen. seems very basic and non-animated menu option. in other words, the dvd menu screen is pretty lifeless. i did take a peek on the featurettes. some of them are actually in dolby 5.1 to my surprise. there is even an easter egg about gag music thrown into spidey 3. once i get my glasses fixed, i'll try to write a full review of the spidey 3 dvd.
to my surprise, "ocean's 13" is also out on DVD now. i go to the chinese dvd stores and they usually import the hong kong version. region 1 dvd's usually lack the chinese subtitles that the general customers are looking for. hence the necessity of importing.
i almost forgot to mention, my copy came with 2 "badges" (as the packaging says. they're really clip-on button pins.)

Did futureshop lose the rights for the steelbook? It was taken off their website for a week or two and now it's back but it just says Futureshop Exclusive and not Steelbook anymore...
http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...31&catid=14723
Anyone might know what that exclusive might be?

Actually, in the description for the DVD it says that it will come in a special steelbook packaging, it's just not listed in the title.
I was worried when I saw the new listing, because I was looking forward to adding this movie to my steelbook collection.
At least they dropped the price, $35.99 was too much.

we got pix in a pdf file of 3 different giftsets each coming with a figurine, I have a PDF file of it, but don't know how to post or where to host it if anyone wants to see.
they are going to be about $30 I'm told, not sure if they are limited or exclusive to our stores. (fye, transworld)

Spider-man 3 came here in Iceland 5.october. I bought a copy and I can say, I've not see a better transfer in a long time. I have a upscaling dvd player an the pic is crystal clear no dirt or damage. Colors are strong. I saw also Trilogy box set with original SE of Spidey 1 and 2. Since i had 1 and 2, I see no reason to buy the box set.

Is the Superbit line officially dead? So I don't need to worry about a S-M3 SB disc coming out shortly, is this correct?
