Spiderman 3 ----> 10/30/07

Sony will be releasing the movie in SD and Blu-Ray. There will be two versions for the SD, one disc and two disc versions.

Also available on the 30th will be an Spider Man High Definition Trilogy that collects all three movies.

The single disc includes 2 audio commentaries, Bloopers, Photo Galleries and a Snow Patrol music video and the double disc additionally includes 11 featurettes and tv spots. No mention of deleted scenes. Didn't SM3 have a whole bunch of deleted scenes? That's what I was most looking forward to.

WTF?!!!!!!!!!!!!! so many problems with this press release:

1-no giftsets?! FACK U SONY!
2-$36.95 for the 2-disc set?!! WTF!? companies keep increasing the prices to 2-disc sets, i wouldn't be surprised if 2-disc sets will be above $40 next year.

boycott this release already!

Kinda lame that Sony is jumping on the "two-tier" wagon for Spidey 3. Especially since the first two Spider-man movies just had 2-disc versions as the default version.

Alternatively, you will be available to own Spider-Man 3 individually on Blu-ray for around $49.95.
Are MSRP's usually this high for BD??

Damn! I was hoping they would not jump on the separate 1-disk and 2-disk bandwagon.

Hooray! The greatest Spider-man film ever created finally comes to DVD! I can't wait for this! I will likely pick up the 2-disc through Columbia House. Awesome movie.

Should be a lot of store exclusives for all you collector junkies.

I'm going to be getting the double-disc edition, as usual. I love Spider-Man & I really enjoyed the first 2 movies so I'm looking foward to S3 as well. I don't go to the theaters anymore & I blind buy all my movies on the DVD.

Anway, I don't usually complain about prices but $28.97 for the 1 disc edition & $36.95 for the 2 disc edition is just fucking awful for Sony to charge that much.
I don't own a Blu-Ray player (haven't gone into the new formats yet) but for the people who have supported Sony's new Hi-Def format, this is kind of a "Piss on the customers" to charge $50 bucks for Spider-Man 3 on Blu-Ray.

Even though I thought the movie was weak as shit I'll buy the 2-disc set, because that's how I have to roll. Maybe I'll like it a little more at home than I did in the theater.

Wow, this makes no sense whatsoever.

This was a godawful movie, and you'd have to pay me to sit through it again.

Agree. After the greatness of the first two, this was just a complete and utter mess and a big, big, disappointment.

I don't need to see Harry and Mary Jane making eggs and dancing to The Twist. Come on.

Unfortunately, the completist in me needs to complete the trilogy, so i'll probaly end up buying this.

^Snakes on a Plane was infinitely better than Spiderman 3.

Damn, I had even forgotten about that part. I must have mentally blocked out 90% of this movie. I just have an overriding sense of how bad it was, but when I recall these little details about it, I feel like turning homicidal.

If the rumor's true that the version we all saw was the "Raimi/Avrad cut", then I'll just hold out for the "Raimi cut" down the road.
