There were 4 copies with the comic book at the Borders in White Flint. Might be a good deal with the Borders coupons floating around.

Now that's funny as hell.

I placed an order for it (along with Quick Change, back when it had a fall '05 release date, now Feb. '06). Oct. 18th release date came and went. My ordre page said shipping date of Oct. 24th with arrival date of Oct. 28th....both of those dates passed by without the DVD arriving. After calling a couple of times to complain, it arrived yesterday. 2 disc w/ comic, no correction slip. The second time I called to complain, the site showed the product as available for immediate order, yet my order hadn't shipped two weeks after the title's release date. The first complaint call got me a price reduction to $10.00 for it + free shipping, so the wait was certainly worth it!

Has anyone else heard anything about this set actually going OOP? I've been seeing the Best Buy set at two separate stores with 5 or 6 copies at each. The latest was yesterday. I suppose it could be just backroom stock, but BB.com has it listed for 1-2 week delivery time, but does not give any details on what you get.

The set with the slipcover and comic is out of print. The 2 disc by itself Deluxe Edition has taken its place.

I was able to pick the two disc LE with the comic book at Future Shop today.

The set with the comic book is back in stock at Amazon here but it's up to $22.99. My order from a week ago is shipping soon. Stock is 24 hours.

I was at Costco last weekend and they had tons of them. Don't know why it's so hard to find in other stores though.

Probably because most people don't go to Costco to buy their DVDs.

Slipcover? YES
Comic book? NO

I guess the whole slipcover = comic book thing is flawed, unless I'm just that unlucky. They're sending out another one...we'll see what happens.

Hmm...Did you order the 2 disc w/comic book? I know they have both versions for sale right now (now at 19.97). Is it possible you ordered the one without the comic or did amazon just screw you?

I just double checked and made sure my order said 2 disc w/comic book. Today is the day i get my shipment, hopefully they included the comic.

It makes plenty sense. If I'm going to go out to buy Batman, I'm not going to Costco. I'd go to Best Buy, etc. I wouldn't even think of Costco. There in fact, maybe more are left over there. I didn't say it was THE reason, just a thought, which does make sense.

I don't think most people care about etting a bargain. Those of us tightwads whom look for every penny of savings are a rare breed.

I ordered the one that distinctly said "with comic book." The back of my DVD sleeve even mentions a 72 page comic book which is just not there.

My local Best Buy had copies of the Deluxe Edition with no comic and no slipcover for $22.99. The best part is that the price tag on the 1 disc version was... $22.99.

Well, I still found a few copies with the comic book at my Costco this weekend. However, there were only about a dozen left, and the new stock that they had were just the 2-disc deluxe without slipcase or comic, so get 'em while you can.

I just got my order and received the comic book.

I just got my replacement. Comic book is inside. And it's easy to tell too because the weight is much different. It really fills out the box when it's inside. Kudos to Amazon on overnighting me a replacement.
