Looks cool. Still unsure about it. Episodes from Slimer! And the Real Ghostbusters with Dave Coulier voicing Venkman aren't exactly enticing (no offense to Coulier). Least I have till August to decide. What I really want is The Real Ghostbusters on DVD. But then, wouldn't we all!
Pros:
Cons:
Obviously the pros far outweigh. Whether their weight is enough to warrant a double-dip is yet to be determined.
This was so much easier in the days of VHS. Don't think I ever double-dipped, though I was tempted when Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park were reissued as double-cassette packages. Special features were just beginning to creep into more and more VHS releases at that time.

Pros:
- Remastered transfer.

- Episodes from Slimer! And the Real Ghostbusters. Well, they're new extras, they're directly related to Ghostbusters, so not a bad thing.
- Collectible scrapbook.

- Cool new packaging (at least on the outside).

Cons:
- Already have both films.
Obviously the pros far outweigh. Whether their weight is enough to warrant a double-dip is yet to be determined.

No one knows whether or not they will come in two seperate amaray cases or one double amaray case. I personally do not like double cases unless the extra discs are supplemental material for the first disc. Two different movies in the same case annoys me. That's my OCD talking.

Sony has a trailer up on there website but i cant get it to work. Im still debating if im picking this up, maybe the scrapbook will have stuff not on the orginal dvd. They put a lot of storyboards, and drawings on the orginal dvd and i found that cool.

From: Right now, my location is DVDTalk, but then again, you should already know that, shouldn't you?
It seems fairly clear from the back of that case that one of the films is pan-and-scan and the other is OAR...fucked up, I say...

The chart on the back of the case looks rather peculiar, but maybe it's saying that each movie is presented both widescreen and full frame, and it is listing the audio options for each one? Maybe they're flippers.
Then again, maybe not... since Ghostbusters is specifically listed as Widescreen in the special features and Ghostbusters 2 is not. Pity.

The grid on the right, from what I can tell, goes: (from top to bottom)
Ghostbusters
[1.33:1]
Full Frame
Ghostbusters 2
[2.40:1]
Widescreen
edit-It does say "Widescreen" in the special features, though as mentioned above. Who knows. It'll probably be fine.

Bummer, no real special features for GB2. That's a crime too because I know for a fact there are featureates out there, I used to have them burnt to a cd but cant find it. They could have at least added the music videos. I know of at least three, Ray Parker Jr's 'Ghostbusters', RUN DMCs 'Ghostbusters' and Bobby Brown's 'On Our Own'. This really ticks me off but I'll still sell my current discs and pay the $14 for this just because of the what I think at least is an improvement to the current covers, and being a fan I want the booklet and 2 episodes. I was also hoping they'd adopt the Australian cover for GB2 being they had the whole green slime theme, I was close though.
