agreed....has nothing to do with the other four so it won't happen

That's a real shame there is no Box Set.I liked how "Batman Begins" ended, and how it led you right into the first Burton film. I would gladly pick up a Box Set of all 5 films in asecond, and it would be themost cost effecient way to obtain the collection. Oh Well...if it doesn't get done this time around, don't worry, Warner will do it sometime down the road. Anything to make get your hard earned cash(i.e. Star Wars)

Well, then how do you explain the ending, when some guy says(paraphrasing), "Some person has been terorizing everything around us. He only left his card(Joker). Batman replies, 'I'll look into it.". To me, that led you right into the next film.

Also, Gordon is already Commissioner in the first Burton movie, not to mention he has never had any face to face contact with Batman. In Batman Begins, Joe Chill killed Bruce's parents (which is faithful to the comics, although in the mid-90s it was changed so that Bruce doesn't know who the killer is). The Burton movie stated that the Joker was their killer. Besides, Joe Chill was murdered at the courthouse. The bottom line is that Batman Begins cannot be a prequel to Batman because there are so many differences. Batman Begins is as much a prequel to Batman as that movie was a prequel to the Adam West TV series. In other words, it isn't a prequel at all. If Begins was a prequel, there'd be post after post bitching about continuity errors. |
guys...your spoilers are showing...I have seen it...but many here have not.
and NO way that it leads into the burton films |

BATMAN BEGINS DOES NOT LEAD INTO 1989'S BATMAN. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE. THE CONTINUITY, STYLE AND STORIES ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. BATMAN BEGINS IS THE START OF A NEW FRANCHISE. IT HAS NOTHING, REPEAT NOTHING TO DO WITH THE 1989-1997 VERSIONS. BATMAN BEGINS IS A NEW ADAPTATION. THIS IS THE TRUTH. ALL ELSE IS FALSE. Simple really. |

This smacks of blatant cash-in, to market to a new audience of 14-year-olds.
Speaking of which, I'm hoping they announce it this week. |

Dalvin, you really should spoiler that post about the end of Batman Begins out of respect for anyone who has not seen the movie yet.
|
Thankfully I managed to breeze past the end of posts after realizing there were spoilers popping up (althought after seeing a few  ).. Please! Put in spoilers! I don't quite expect to read about the plot of Batman Begins in a thread about the original 4 DVDs!
