Let's go back in time for a moment. Want to pick some memories. Mine from the theatrical viewing of Batman and all home viewings since don't seem to match for one scene.
When Jack Napier falls into the chemicals, there's a brief camera angle from his POV. My memory insists that that sequence was prolonged when I first saw it, that there was a second shot from his POV. I could swear that's how I originally saw it. The VHS I got in November 1989 and every TV broadcast I've seen since have all had one Napier POV shot. I remember watching the VHS shortly after buying it, watching that scene, and immediately feeling like something was missing, like it had been cut short. What do you all remember? --THX |
Sounds like a manufactured memory, THX. No biggie.
|
Do we have screenshots of the R2 boxset yet?

That, or the reel change point was timed incredibly badly and the operator totally blew his cue. |
It's been such a long time since I saw Batman in the theater, so I couldn't tell if there were things edited out for the subsequent VHS release and TV broadcast(aside from the usual shortening for time).
Although some claim that they saw the sequence in the alley where Batman runs into a homeless girl who asks "Is it Halloween?" in the theatrical release. I can't recall, but the scene does exist. There are pics to prove it. |
well they put a big fat quote on the one disc release...

Wouldn't it make more sense to post those here? This thread is for the '89-'97 collection, obviously. Just a thought.
