I thought the sequals, even Revolutions was pretty good, and dove straight into the underground Zion thing a bit more. Anyone has to look at the Battle of Zion and say, "That's damn cool."

Maybe so, but that's like only liking one Star Wars movie out of the six.

I'll probably get this since I only have the Original and Animatrix. Did you guys happen to scroll down on that Digital Bits page for the news on Blade Runner SE? It looks like it is in the works again. Now that is big news!

Sorry Mike, but I thought the battle of Zion was a joke. Why would the seeker things move in groups and in such stupid patterns? It goes against all logic of computers. Doing swirls and loops is something out of Top Gun. That battle was a big bummer for me and summed out how I felt about the sequels. Two big stretched out movies of boredom and predictable outcomes.

I'll definitely pass since there's no director's cuts. I don't like the movies nearly enough to double dip for a new transfer and new extras (given I've watched none of the extras on the last two).

It would be nice to have it all in once package. I do already own the Matrix/Matrix Revisited set, the two sequels, and Animatrix, so I'd be repurchasing a lot of the same stuff.
I guess if I can get a decent price if/when I sell the above, it'll be worth it.

I agree with shizawn, it'd be nice to have the entire package. I've held off on buying any of there series, waiting for a package like this one.
Any idea if they'll be some sort of crazy non-region1 set that will be released? If so, I might wait for that.

I've got the regular DVDs of all three, but they lack in some major detail. I'm kind of a so-so fan of commentaries, on some movies, I could care less, others I would like. These are some movies that I'd definately like to hear commentaries on. Secondly, the remastered original is a seller for me. And thirdly, the over-all packaging of the box set is a welcome addition. Because quite frankly, having the original in a snapper and the other two in 2-disc keep cases is not very attractive in the shelf.

Why, why ,why did they have to price this so reasonably?!!! No way I was picking this up but now I'm quite tempted even though I have them all (including Revisited and Anamatrix).
No way they release Matrix 1 separately. Many will buy the set just for the remaster.

On topic.... I'm on the fence whether I will get it or not. I'm one of those who would watch the first one 10 times before I watch the other two again. But Hell, I'll probably get it if it's $45. If I hadn't already purchased the Animatrix, I would definitely get it. We'll see.

For a sec I thought the only version available was the one with the bust. Then I figured I'd actually read what The Digital Bits wrote. I already have that bust so I'll just be getting the DVD set.

Did one of the Wachowski brothers go through with that operation thing?
