Neuman...on your call i cancelled DDD and went to BB @ 6:30pm and they had 3..i got mine!!!!!!!!!!!!! so thanks!!!
woo hoo!!!!
i was skeptical that they didn't have the specs on the outer sheeth, but it said remastered and 5.1, it is still sealed and i have the reciept so i will just make sure till you or someone tells me that the a/v is perfect, as perfect as BU and then woo hoo!!!
$14.99 was perfect as well, even cheaper than DDD and $24.99 that BB had original.
i am so psyched i will have this and "Kill Bill vol. 2" for the weekend!!!!
woo fregging hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cant believe I missed the boat on this. usually have decent luck around here. pre-oredered from the wrong place, I guess.

out of all the Best Buy's within a 30+ mile radius of me, no one seems to have it. so lame haha, I held off on the BU disc hoping that this one would come out as expect

and as for crappy Best Buys, the one I'm closest to in Marin City, CA takes the cake. they said they didn't have Zombi (BU) on release day, but had it in their system, and they said they didn't have either of the Lady Snowblood movies, but both were in the "music DVDs" section. BOO good luck!

I have the Blue Underground DVD, but I may have to sell/trade it if the picture quality is as good. SS really went all out on the package. I have heard about the problems they have had with previous two disc sets (like the second disc coming in a paper wrapper).

Now I wish I waited. Oh well, there is always the DVD exchange board.

Hard to read the packaging from the screenshots (not that I'm complaining, the pics look great), but the SS set appears to include a commentary by Ian McCullough...Is this a port of the AB commentary or did he do another one?

I went by the local BB tonight between jobs, it wasn't on the shelf so I asked and the BB drone he said yeah it shows we have 5 of them in the computer, came back from the stock room and said well it has a street date of 8/17 so we can't sell it till then. WTF!??

So I came home after work pissed off, the BB website shows it's available (ships 1-2 days) so I selected in store pickup option and will back there tomorrow.

Here are the screenshots!

OK, here are the screen shots! Compare these to the BU and AB discs at the thread located at www.horrordvds.com forum ( http://www.horrordvds.com/vb3forum/s...ad.php?t=20232 )
Now I got this all on PowerDVD. This is the first time I have ever gotten screenshots off a disc, so I hope I did it right. A lot of times when I paused it, and people in the shot were in motion, it looks blurry, but only when paused. I think the image on this disc is magnificent, so if anything looks slightly off, it may be because I had to pause a lot to get the shots right. I opened the shots in Jasc's Paint Shop Pro, and I saved them as JPEGs with as little picture loss as possible. Enjoy!

From tnose screen shots, I guess the SS version is equally as good as the BU version. Just as long as it's better than the AB transfer, I'm happy I guess I'll pick up the SS version!! Btw how is the sound?

Shriek Show is actually a pretty good company from what little I've got of theirs, the Burial Ground disc they've got is amazing!

Well I expect my DDD order of the Blue Underground release to be here tomorrow if I am lucky. Usually it takes a week for DeepDiscount dvds orders to get to my house. So it has been a week since I placed my order and the shipment notice was emailed to me. I hope it arrives tomorrow.

But I am tempted to get the SS release as well based on that packaging. I was going to get both originally, but being low on cash and all that. I decided t ojust get the BU release..but I may get the SS release when I can.
