I sent my discs out on June 18th (I didn't bother to get the prepaid mailer). I received my replacements on July 14th, so around a month looks like the turnaround time at this point.
At least this is for Dallas to California...

Did you have a return address on the envelope itself? If not, you are SOL!

Hi guys,
I just bought BTTF three weeks ago from warehouse music and it seems I did not get the newer version.
Is this replacement program still running ?
What phone number should I call to ask for this program ?
Thanks

Wow, that was very fast.
06-25-03 - Got envelope to ship discs
07-10-03 - Send out discs
07-26-03 - Got discs
I can't complain at all about my experience. Now to check out the new framing. Thanks to all who helped.

Called today
I just received my set from Columbia House today (used my FunCash). I didn't open the set to see if V2 discs are enclosed. Called the # anyway and they are still shipping replacements, just so you know. The friendly (and rather animated) chap I spoke to said it's the first call he's had in a while for this specific replacement. Not sure if I should open the set to check, or just sell it still-sealed on eBay and wait a few months to get it again.

i just called today for the replacements and the number is still active. The CSR pretty much tells you everything you need to know about the problems and then they ask for your mailing address and phone number.
They are sending a USPS mailing label to return the discs, so i used my PO box. I am not positive if they are mailing the replacements via USPS or UPS as i saw mentioned in another thread, so I will have to wait and see, but i think they will arrive at my PO.
Let's see how long it takes, although the CSR said it won't take long because they are currently in the process of shipping out replacements.

Finally bit the bullet...
I had been waiting for the V2's to show up in stores, figuring that since I had the Malaysian import Video CD set, that would tide me over. But last week I finally broke down and ordered the set from Deep Discount DVD, hoping against hope that they might be the V2's since they had listed it as a "new release" at the beginning of this month. No such luck; I got the V1s. I guess it was a MSRP drop based on what I've read elsewhere.
Fortunately as the previous poster noted, Universal is still running the exchange program, so I called the 888 number and requested a mailer.
Now we'll see how fast the turnaround is. I would LOVE to have the V2's in time for my birthday, which is October 15th.
EDIT: Though Universal is paying the postage, would it be a good idea to spring for insurance? (IIRC, it's only $1.30 for goods worth $50 or less)

I sent them out on Monday the 8th of september, and noticed it took about 3 weeks for the last few people who posted on here to get there's back. Sure enough, this morning as i left for class, there it was in the driveway, exactly 3 weeks after i sent them.
October 15 is only 15 days away, but good luck all the same.

Just called up and getting the mailer. I feel bad that there is a CS rep actually going through the process and it's not automated with the number of returns coming back. Kinda eerie, it was automated but not really. lol

After seeing this thread pop up again I finally got around to calling the number for my mailer last night. That speach they give is hilarious and a complete waste of time. Why do they even bother saying it?

The CSR I got said and I quote "...the misframing is not noticable on widescreen televisions...". It's one thing to say the issues are minor but to out right lie like that is another. Cudos to Universal for exchanging the disks free of charge but please don't insult me by telling me a bold face lie.

After calling for my mailer, it finally resurfaced a few moments ago, but before I sent my discs off I wanted to know what the consensus was on the PQ of the replacement discs...I've seen a few screenshots that indicate the replacement discs are not as good of picture quality than the originals, but then there is the framing issue...thoughts as to which to sacrifice, or have any of you found it an issue at all? Thanks in advance.
