I received a similar code in the mail today: M2AD. However, it requires 4 fulfillment titles, and the optional 7th title is $9.95 (counts as one of the 4 fulfillment titles), with an option for an 8th at $9.95 (does not count towards fulfillment.)

Is it just me, or is the system requiring a 4 digit savings code now? Am I doing this right? When I look it up it says that it wants a 4 digit code for your specific offer. Could they have changed the system? None of the codes listed on this thread are working for me (I get the pop-up change offer window, but it stays blank unless I put in a 4 digit code, which I make up as a test, and then it says that it doesn't recognize the code).

Any ideas about what's going on? (Is it just me?)

Three letter codes work fine for me. Be sure that you are using the code window at www. columbiahouse.com (delete space after www. ). If you want to use a four character code, the fourth is always "D" for "DVD Club". For example: LMTD.

And geez, I got another one too! All this mail has been sitting in a pile for a week already.

What's the deal with Columbiahouse's site right now? Whenever I started up a new account previously I had a search engine and a large selection, but now I just get their blue page with a limited selection of titles. I know for fact that there were more titles available when I went throught the club a few months ago...

Does anyone know why things have changed? Or is there a special link to the better selections that I haven't found yet?

Just go to the music club first, then click the DVD club link in the top right corner - you will get the searchable page.

Oops, sorry about QHR, you are right of course. I just checked the offer again, not sure why I got so excited and made that mistake!

Thanks! Do you have a link to the music club?

When I just go to www.columbiahouse.com I get two links, the CD club and the DVD club. Of course if I click on the DVD club I get the page I mentioned previously, but if I click on the CD club I get a similar page to the DVD club but without any links to the DVD club like you mentioned...

When you are at the cd club...look at the upper right hand corner of the page and there should be a link to (among other things) the "DVD Club". Just click that and you should be where you want to be.

Nope. It's just like I said in my previous post.

If I go to http://www.columbiahouse.com I am redirected to this page...

http://www.columbiahouse.com/sa/50/ch/error/500.jsp?exception=java.lang.NullPointerException&dt=1119548504716&pin=50&bak=NONE&wl_sid=C60YQDyla6q4V1yMhLGWVa9jzitKV8tfkDnSkUehelXsIBz5nWw6!492295245

...Then if I click on "Get 12 CDs for FREE!" it takes me to this page...

http://go.columbiahouse.com/cache/ho...R&group=NORMAL

...where I cannot find a link to the DVD club or anything else for that matter.

I have good news and bad news for you.

First the good news. When you go to the original columbiahouse .com site, don't click on the "12 CDs" link, but rather click on one of the album cover pictures above that link. That should take you to the correct CD club link, where, in the upper right hand corner you will see the DVD Club link I mentioned yesterday.

Now the bad news. As others have reported today even when you click on the DVD Club link shown there it now takes you to the abbreviated DVD Club site and not the full site. As of yesterday (6/22) this link was taking you to the correct club site, but today it is not. Hopefully this is all temporary, but we will have to wait and see.

I don't know why I see a different website than everyone else... When I go to the original www.columbiahouse.com site there are no album covers, just two text links that read... "Get 12 CDs for FREE" and "Get 5 DVDs for 49¢ Each"...

Thanks for the info though...

What browser are you using? As I recall, CH has problems with browsers other than IE. The fact that you are being redirected to a page with the word "error" in it makes me think there is some kind of a problem. Also, you might try the famous "clear cookies" remedy as well as be sure to allow for popups.

Of course all of this is moot at the moment since even getting to the "correct" CD page won't get you to the correct DVD page !!

I'm actually using Internet Explorer 6.0. I would try the clear cookies thing, but as you said...the site isn't there at the moment. Thanks anyway...

I just tried it and the search option was back. As I was selecting my 5 title, an error screen kept appearing. Now it takes you back to the small selection of DVDs screen and cleared out my cart

Do you have a direct link?

As suggested to me earlier, I deleted my cookies and was able to get to this site...

http://go.columbiahouse.com/cache/ho...3&group=NORMAL

...It's different than the previous "Red" site, but there's still no search option.

Direct links don't seem to work. They appear to have a session specific pin that changes. When I use a direct link I get an error message.

This "blue site" is the problem. It doesn't have a search function, as you say. So far as I am aware, the only way to get to a searchable enrollment site is using the roundabout way through the Music club:
• from the main Columbia House page, click on a music club icon
• click on club help at the top right
• click on DVD club help at the lower left

This takes you to a searchable DVD club page. If you get an error message, delete all Columbia House cookies and repeat the process. Once at the page:
• Enter the enrollment code, as usual
• Do NOT click on any links (except for "details", if you wish)
• Use the search function to select DVDs and add them to the shopping cart
• Check out as usual

I tested this to the checkout page but wasn't able to place an order since I am not in the market for a new club membership.

This method continues to work but Columbia House may shut it down (perhaps after reading this post). Then we can always fall back on phone enrollments until or unless CH resumes using the normal enrollment site.

6 July 2005, the "back door" is now dead since Columbia House has discontinued its music club in favor of BMG music club. BMG recently purchased CH.

The good news is that the "blue site" now has a search function, making the back door irrelevant.

I got another offer in the mail today: M2P

This is the same terms of M2B which I posted earlier in this thread. It probably also requires a PSN, so it probably isn't a good code, and since CH does not support Firefox anymore, I can't even check for you. Stupid CH.

M2P is a 7/2 code with the bonus costing $14.95. It does require a PSN.
