Hit 4 Dollar Trees on the way home tonight and found a lot of the stuff listed above except for Upside Down which is the only one I really really wanted.

Picked up the following Blu-Rays:

Dolan's Cadillac
Bernie
Cosmopolis
The Code/The Contract
Stolen
Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans
Red Lights

May expand the search tomorrow for Upside Down but I'm pretty sure if it were near me, it's probably gone by now.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs

I struck out at one store and decided to recheck the store I stopped at yesterday. I'm glad I did, because I found about half the titles. I picked up:

The Babymakers
Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans
Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans/Trespass
The Bang Bang Club
Cosmopolis
Elephant White
Home Run
Labor Pains
A Little Bit of Heaven
Nitro Circus 3D
The Paperboy
Rampart
War, Inc.

And one DVD:

Tekkonkinkreet

If anyone is wondering, Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans/Trespass is one a single disc and doesn't seem to have any special features, but the individual releases do.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs

I hit a store this morning that had the front table all set up, except the movies weren't out yet. They eventually brought out 2 boxed of blu-ray and about 5 boxes of DVDs. I picked up:

Legalese
Party of Five season 3
Rookie Blue season 1
Stormhawks Showdown in the Skies

I know Dollar Tree had season 1 of Party of Five a few years ago, but did they ever have season 2?

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs

Picked up "Chloe", "For Greater Glory" and "Rookie Blue" S1 - all blind buys.

I saw no "Party Of Five".

I didn't see NO STINKING Party of Five-Season three either. Ever since purchasing season one a few years ago for $1.00 at the Dollar Tree, I have been searching for any of the other seasons at a reasonable price at a brick N mortar store. No such luck. Season three reported purchased at the Dollar three at this current round of distributions has made me very envious.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs

Thanks for the double-checkers who posted their finds. Stopped at my local DT.

A few interesting DVDs:
Tekkonkinkreet
Apocalypse (aka: "Hell". I remember reading a good review of this German survivalist flick in a horror zine. Were it not for this, I would pass completely on a generically titled DVD stating "from the executive producer of 2012.")

BD's spotted:
The Bang Bang Club
Bernie
BL: PoCNO
Cosmopolis
Elephant White
Home Run
Labor Pains
A Little Bit of Heaven
The Paperboy
Rampart
Stolen
The Code/The Contract
Trespass (BD and DVD/BD combo)
War, Inc.

I must correct an erroneous earlier post. I'd stated that DT had Slap Shot 2 on DVD. I was mistaken. It's actually Slap Shot 3. I know this is of tremendous significance

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs

FYI, the copies of Cosmopolis I bought were dual format, even though the case just says Blu-ray.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs

I went into my Dollar Tree Boyertown,Pa. location and the manager told me that an additional small order of DVD's just came in. There were perhaps an additional 7 or 8 different titles in addition to the 40 titles that came in before.

I purchased for $1.00 each:

Waking Up Wally-The Walter Gretzy Story
The Stone Merchant-Harvey Keitel/Jane March
Wildflowers-Daryl Hannah/Clea Duval/Eric Roberts
Elephant White-Kevin Bacon

There was a 3 disc cooking set for $1.00 which I wasn't interested in.

Thanks for that. I'm in Long Beach as well and now I don't need to bother checking. The one on Spring sucks now. It used to be so good for movies. It did get a few things with the Blu Rays, but they are few are far between there now. I have better luck at the 99c only stores. The one in Lakewood on woodruff has a ton of DVDs. The most I've seen anywhere. Not a lot worth while, but I've found some good stuff there.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs

I travel a ton, and I have found some super DVDs at various Dollar Trees. I think the secret is, the older store get the biggest selection, however the newer stores get all the special selections also around the holidays.

I have literally talked to several managers about when they come in, and you will be surprised how helpful they will be. I've purchased around 90 titles from the various Dollar Trees around the US, and about 15 of them were Blu-rays.

So don't be afraid talk to the managers.

They had about 30 of "Party of Five" in Matteson, IL last time I was there.

I Spy-A Runaway Robot Scholastic
Clover-Elizabeth McGovern
The Circuit-Michelle Tractenberg

I also noticed a few odds and ends trickling in...

Nothing worth writing about...

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs

Some (definitely not all) of the stores here received a minor update of movies. Too bad it's not very good:

The Diplomat (Blu-ray + DVD)
Delta Farce
Mama Flora's Family
Wildflowers
The Stone Merchant
Clover
Do You Believe In Miracles?
I Do...Knot
Four Christmases

Also, some PC games with Best Buy stickers, some of which aren't shovelware:

Warlock: Master of the Arcane
Sacred Gold
Disciples II Gold

But perhaps most interestingly, a bin of GIT CD and DVD comic book archives:

Archie: Bronze Age Series
Jughead: Bronze Age Series
Scooby-Doo! Classic Comics Vol. 1
Star Trek Movie Comic Book Collection
Classic Looney Tunes Comics Vol. 1
Classic Transformers Digital Comic Books

What state is your Dollar Tree located? Haven't found many DVD's, but have been finding a lot of trade paperbacks recently at the Dollar Tree.

South NJ here. The Diplomat definitely wasn't a part of the big Blu-ray dump from a month or two ago.

I went to my local DT yesterday. All the Blu-rays were gone. I asked where they went. They said they got shipped to a DT in Payson because they "hadn't been selling enough"!
