Went to both Dollar Trees in my area (Monroe,LA), neither store had ANY DVDs anywhere in the place! :-(

Two of the local DTs had displays with many different titles of BN/SS movies... The 'catch' was/is that they are all for the Sony PSP... When I went to DT when these titles were first announced, I found about 5 titles that weren't in slim cases (99% of what they have are slims)... Far Cry (skipped due to bad reviews and people's intense hatred for Uwe Boll movies), Party of Five (which I got), something about our wonderful President, and a couple others I don't remember. This time there were exactly 4 non-slims: Great Debaters (which I got), The Escapist, Metropolis (some Japanese anime), and the one about our wonderful President again. So it's definitely slim pickens (not the actor) at my DT store. I wonder if I should've gotten Metropolis or The Escapist?

Moscow Heat Missionary Man (Dolph Lundgren) Hey Vern It's Ernest! Other's i remember seeing were: Til' Death season 1 21 Jump Street season 1 Marcus Welby set My two dad's set and others, don't remember what the other ones were off hand. |

There were many from the last big batch which included the 30Something {this one was S1V2 grrr didn't get it}, Marcus Welby, 21 Jump Street, Storm Hawks {3 different titles}, and some others similar in nature to these... I picked up:
'til Death: The Complete First Season Moscow Heat My One and Only The Man Who Loved Women (Burt Reynolds) I saw the Forgotten/Gattaca double feature, but I've already got both of those films. I would have bought more, but that was all they had--VERY slim pickings at my store. EDIT: I forgot that they had at least two different Storm Hawks collections, but I had no idea what those were, so I passed 'em up. |

Figured I'd check my local store and see what was there. Found 50 copies (didn't count, but I bet that's close) of Dog Whisperer, some with 3 episodes and some with 5. That was about it.

I went back again today and picked up a few more titles. Since I passed on Storm Hawks last time, I decided to give it a go this time. After comparing the two different titles that my store had ("Heroes of the Sky" and "Tales from the Atmos"), I discovered that "Heroes of the Sky" is a double-DVD set that combines "Hawks Rise Again" and "Tales from the Atmos." So naturally I just grabbed the "Heroes of the Sky" set.
I also picked up Stander, a film with Tom (Thomas) Jane; The Prince and the Pauper with those Sprouse kids; and Finishing the Game. I wasn't excited about any of these DVDs, but at only $1 each...what the hell. |

I struck out today. One of the stores that had $1 DVDs in the past didn't have any today. Will try a different one tomorrow.

went to 3 different DT's yesterday. No DVDs. but did pick up this:

I'd be interested in knowing where the posters live who got the newest batch. Last time the DVD batch was DOTW and everybody got them, but I wonder if this is limited stock that only select stores will get. |
