Checked two DT's today and one had a handful of titles I hadn't seen before:

Bernie
Cool Dog
Little Birds
Rampart
Red Lights

I bought them all except for Rampart since I already have that on BD.

I was at the local DT about 1 week ago. 2 titles, 3 copies, worthless titles.

Thanks for all the info smartalec44. Nothing there I need myself, though one of those I bought just 4 months ago darnit, but iirc sometimes different stores have different inventory, so a trip there might still be useful. Appreciate it.

Cool.

I'll keep my eyes out for "Rookie Blue" S1.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs

None of the Dollar Trees here in the Cleveland area that I shop at have had any DVDs at for months. Not even crap like RINGERS. Same goes for a few stores in Western PA.

Then again, I only hope they'll have something so I can stock up a few for a Best Buy Upgrade & Save, which is also probably never happening again.

Thanks for posting, smartalec44.

I'll have to check some stores this weekend for those BD's (can't pass up for $1) and some of the DVD's.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs

Blu-ray.com members mentioned a few of other blus in this wave:

Rampart
The Babymakers
Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans / Trespass (Double Feature)
Labor Pains
War, Inc.
Elephant White
The Greatest
The Way of War
Trespass
What Maisie Knew
Bernie

I didn't find anything today, but I will continue to hunt for them.

I'm just mad that there are TWO Dollar Tree stores here, and I never see ANY DVDs OR Blu-rays at either of them! :-(

Wow, that's saying something. Whenever I've visited the local DT in the last few years I've seen a dozen copies of Ringers.

Only DVDs left at my local DT are Ringers and ... ROBSESSED.

Dropped by the local DT tonight. No new DVDs or BDs. The only BD they have, and have had for months, is Aspen Extreme (Mill Creek or Echo Bridge, forget which).

They had those too.

Other DVDs I've seen there for months:

The American Mall
Players
Slap Shot 2
some Bettie White program

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs

Oh my, I forgot about Robsessed! That hasn't been around, either. I wonder what corporate's criteria is for distributing DVD stock. (Same for Big Lots, too. Selection has gotten mighty sparse at most of their stores as well, which is weird, considering they're an Ohio company.)

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs

I'm surprised that some Dollar Trees still have DVDs/blu-rays months after they come in. The ones I go to are generally cleaned out within a week or two. Of course, Robsessed is still at one of the stores along with a copy of The Chosen One (Rob Schneider), but before that I've never seen titles stick around so long.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs

I'm wondering if maybe smartalec44 's Dollar Tree got their shipment early, or put it out early, and we just have to wait on the rest of the locations?

Every Dollar Tree location I've ever been to gets wiped out of a new media shipment within days, unless it's pure, absolute junk. Nothing from the above list would last more than a few days.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs

The Boyertown,Pa. Dollar Tree has only been existence a year and a half. Since opening, maybe 4 large shipments of DVD's has occurred. The manager told me the shipment came in and was placed in a front header 3 days before my 5-30-14 posting.

Our area is not heavily populated and the inventory tends to hang around two weeks. Perhaps some populated areas have flea market dealers pouncing on the inventory.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs

While not exactly movie related, I have found quite a few cool graphic novels recently at the Dollar Tree:

Astro Boy-Official Movie Prequel
Monster House-Dan Harmon Characters Skull and Bones
Speed Racer Volume 5
Racer X Volume 1
Family Guy-Big Book of Crap
Rogue Angel-Teller of Tall Tales
Common Grounds
Myth Warriors
Seen a few more movie adaptions

I found some DVDs today. No blu-rays though. :( I picked up:

12 (Russian remake of 12 Angry Men)
Finding Graceland
The Owl and the Pussycat
Sleuth (2007)

EDIT: The back cover of The Owl and the Pussycat states that the disc is double sided with widescreen on one side and full screen on the other. However, it was a single sided disc with the widescreen version of the film.

I found the Spawn-Batman crossover graphic novel. The comics tend to be near the books section.

The reports about Blu-rays are all true. It looked to me like two boxes full of new Blu-rays and DVDs, including the first season of Rookie Blue on DVD.

Upside Down 3D on Blu-ray was probably the best one in the bunch.
