Looks like Polar Express and Blazing Saddles are regular price now while Yesman is still at sale price. It looks like they are selling a certin amount, so get in early!

*edit* they even have a status bar to show you how much of the specials have been purchased.

I'm trying to figure out all these "sales" as well... where did you find this link? I can't seem to find it on Amazon's site and wouldn't have known about it without your post.

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains

the Watchmen link on the site goes to the director's cut.
Considering it may be only $10, is that worth getting? or is it better to hold out for a deal on the Ultimate version?

I mentioned them here. I had 1 - 4 already and bought 5. Couldn't see paying $12.49 for S6 and it only having 13 episodes and S5 has 22 and got it for $4 less.

Placed a small order and included the free trial of Amazon Prime. Threw in the $2 copy of Blood Diamond. It's scheduled to arrive after Christmas.

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains

Interesting...just tried a test of their ordering system. I put a DVD from the lightning deals in my cart, and it came up that it ships in 4-6 weeks. (It was Blood Diamond; I didn't actually buy it).

According to the status bar, it's not anywhere near sold out, but it appears they may not be limiting themselves to stock on hand for these sales, which could be an issue for anyone tapping these deals for holiday gifts.

I honestly figured they wouldn't sell more copies than they had on hand for something like this.

EDIT: cardsfan111 beat me to it.

DOUBLE EDIT: Just saw that they stopped offering Blood Diamond before the deadline. Although the status bar said 50% sold, they obviously ran out.

I never believe Amazon's shipping estimates, and wouldn't be surprised if you got it Wednesday.

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains

I'm with Trevor on this one, Amazon is the king of over cautious estimates. I ordered 2 things that were 9-11 days and they shipped the next morning from when I placed the order.

Same here. Twice I've ordered things in the past year or so and got them within a week when it estimated 1-2 weeks.

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains

I've had the same experiences with receiving items much quicker than the shipping estimates. It just threw me off for a second seeing an estimated date that included "2010"

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains

I've bought Blazing Saddles, Facing the Giants, and Christmas Vacation so far, Amazon might lose out on some money with some of us using the free prime shipping - might think twice about spacing the sales. Blazing Saddles $2.00 total with 2 day UPS.

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains

Is it not possible to get one of these deals if there's a promotional certificate on your account? I've got Looney Tunes in my cart at $14.99, but at checkout it's coming out all wrong.

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains

as of this second Looney Tunes is still there with 60% purchased.

also the price in your cart shows the amazon list price, but go to checkout and it should show the updated price on the right hand side with the discount.

just grabbed 'Black Book' for $2.00 with free 2 Day shipping

What sort of promo? Not a gift cert I assume...I am paying for all my purchases with gift certs that have been credited to my account, and it's automatically deducting them from the total, which is what normally happens when I have promos as well...
