I remember some items being in limited quantity last year and going back to regular price on amazon after the limited quantity sold out. I expect the same will happen here just like gold box items.

The ball chair thing listed right now has a % claimed box under it, so I assume there is a set number they have at that price. >_>

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains

They are apparently having day-long deals as well. One of them for today is Supernatural season 3 for $14.99, which sucks, because Target is having it for $12.99.

ETA: It looks like season 1-3 are that price, while Target will have all 3 for $12.99.

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains

I've had Wolverine sitting in my cart since it was released. I wonder if the $9.99 price will take effect when the sale starts or if I'll have to add it to my cart again.

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains

Correction - the prices have changed, but they only show up when you check out, and they also appear on this page:

http://www.amazon.com/Black-Friday-A...node=384082011

The sale prices don't, however, show up on the main product's page:

http://www.amazon.com/Blazing-Saddle...d_i=1000452571

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains

Unfortunately these are Lightning deals with limited quantities. I checked the 3 that started at 4 AM and they were moving slowly but at about 3% claimed within 1 minute. I can imagine when the Wolverine BR hits that it'll hit 100% claimed within minutes. Unfortunately that's commute time for some people when it would be rather difficult to be at the computer when in a car. Too bad Amazon makes their really good deals so hard to get. Almost like the wallet on a string gag where you think you're gonna get it and then you don't. We'll see...

Someone mentioned that past Lightning deals had free shipping regardless. Since I signed up for the Prime trial, it wouldn't surprise me a bit if doing so was totally unnecessary for these deals. Could anyone who ordered just 1 of the Lightning items report if you got free shipping?

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains

^No, I believe you still need over $25 to get free shipping unless you're Prime. This is better than the deals that only a few got last year because Amazon randomly chose people eligible for them. They may still do that kind of promotion though.

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains

Per Amazon's verbage on the top of their Black Friday "Week" sales....

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/re...d%3D1000452571

You shouldn’t have to stand in a long line to get a great deal. We’re searching for the best Black Friday deals everywhere--including deals other stores are planning--so we can meet or beat their prices and bring them to you even earlier. These limited-supply offers will go quickly but we’ll add new ones throughout the day, every day this week, so you can skip the long lines and still save a bundle.

Here's to hoping they hit all the Door Busters, etc from BB, Target, Wal-Mart, etc... and we can skip the hastle of fighting crowds... (except maybe for the Wizard of Oz Target Exclusive...lol)....

That's been my experience... *BUT* if the price is >=$25 *before* the discount it will still qualify as the discount comes off *after* shipping is computed.

I'm more curious as to whether or not you'll be able to build up these deals throughout the day to combine them at the end.

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains

Seems to me, Amazon is making it more troublesome than going to the stores on BF. Not knowing if or when the item(s) someone's interested in are going to be matched or not. Having to check constantly, and most likely the items will sell out too quickly to even get them anyway. I don't like the way there doing this BF sale.

I picked up Blazing Saddles and Dilbert 2.0, which is like at the lowest is $59 online the cheapest elsewhere, for $26.

You would be lucky if you got one now. I bought 2 copies of M&MS 6 months ago. 1 did & 1 didn't

Is that their normal price for that Dilbert or a sale? I want to get it but would rather wait a couple weeks.
