Re: Warner Archive sales

I received my copy of FH 7 in the mail today from DVD Planet, & sure enough it's pressed.

WBShop.com tags FH sets 4-7 as "Made to Order". What am I missing?

And while pressed copies of set 7 may still be available from DVD Planet and others, I assume I've missed the boat on the others?

Under the "Movies" tab, click on "Replicated Discs". The ones left are the ones being factory pressed. The remaining FH sets were under there.

Will let people know if these are still pressed on the FH collections. I am pretty happy with the prices, been waiting for Less than $25 on each, but $27 was enough for me to bite. I've been waiting long enough.

Just opened the box. Both FH sets were Pressed! And much to my surprise, so was Growing Pains Season 3!

All said and done, great prices, and great discs...I am very pleased. Thanks for the heads up on the sale!

Re: Warner Archive sales

just a heads up- while the multi disc sets are currently on sale at WA, All the ones I've been interested in (and probably most in general) are a few bucks cheaper at ImportCDs right now with the SAVE10 coupon.
I also just got my first order in from when the sale started and both WA TV sets I ordered were replicated not burned.

Single disc titles are $2 more expensive than they will be when the 5/$50 sale starts (probably next week)...but you if you only want a couple (or, like me, want to pad out an order so that you get everything shipped in a box rather than the cheap sheet mailers) this is a better way to go.

Sorry, just revisited this now. On wbshop.com, I see only a "Movies & TV" menu and no mention of "Replicated Disks"...only various links for "Warner Archives" and (as previously mentioned) "Made to Order". Am I on the wrong web site?

EDIT: Never mind. I just realized that warnerarchive.com is not the same as the "Warner Archive" section of wbshop.com. Cool...all the FH sets are still replicated, as is the "Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show". News to me.

Re: Warner Archive sales

A lot of their Classic Film Collection box sets are now $13.19 apiece;
their Film Noir collections are $17.59 apiece:

Any coupons out there to maximize savings?

Re: Warner Archive sales

Really good prices but one not familiar with the box sets should know that the Western Collection was offered on BF last year or two years ago for $13.99 I believe. Bette Davis 1 at that price is very good (depending on how shipping would be) and as for the Busby Berkeley, that is vol. 1....you can find the purple box set with vol. 1 and 2 for a good price.

Controversial Classics is $17.99 with free shipping and with tax under $19.

What a bummer!

Maybe this will work. Here are the links for Vols. 2 & 3. Got them from my order confirmation:

Thanks for the links. They seemed to work ok. I was even able to find vol.1 as it was listed as one of the "recommended for you" titles on the vol.2 link. Who knows whether or not the orders will be processed.

Re: Warner Archive sales

They just added the vol. 3 Dream Factory, I see all film Noirs except vol. 4 which is always expensive and the $5 coupon works. So, this $5 coupon is unlimited? I've used it three times today.

I dropped the ball on this one (damn senior moment!)

However, kudos to kndy & ThatsAllFolks for picking it up with their threads.

And now, awaiting WA Black Friday deals!

Re: Warner Archive sales

Last year during the Christmas season, they offered a 5 for $42 sale. I'm going to wait to see if that returns. 5 for $50 is not remarkable.

Re: Warner Archive sales

The inclusion of the Archive's Blu-rays in this sale IS remarkable, and might mitigate against a deeper discount. Guess we'll see. I vaguely remember cleaning up at that 5/$42 sale, but then I kept cleaning up at all the subsequent 5/$50 sales, too, so it's much harder finding titles this time around.

Re: Warner Archive sales

Has anyone gotten the HOLIDAY13 code to work? There's no special limitations listed on the email I received, but I keep getting an "items do not yet qualify" error when I try to enter the code during checkout.
