Re: Warner Archive sales

I'll wait for the sale; there's a Forbidden Hollywood 8; currently at $40 (which is already a bit high). Per usual, I want to get it while it's still factory pressed.

Re: Warner Archive sales

Forbidden Hollywood Vol 8 is available to order at Deep Discount for $37.xx shipped using the code BUDDY (good till 5 pm CT 11/19)
The code is actually good site wide for an extra 10% off. It is listed as back ordered right now...but that's just because they haven't gotten the stock in yet at all. Should be very soon. And yes, they'll be getting the pressed copies.

This DD sale has been pretty damn good this year, with various coupon codes on top of already decently discounted prices (for a change). I ended up ordering all the Archive titles I'd been waiting for from DD rather than bothering to wait for the WA sale. Since I'd be paying sales tax at WA, the final prices were very comparable.

How can a burn-on-demand title be oos?

I ordered from the DD sale that Paul_SD mentions above. Nothing was burned.

Re: Warner Archive sales

Unless they change policy at some point in the future, all the replicated titles at Warner Archive will be available in the same replicated editions at all the Super D e-tailers (DD, DVD Planet, Import CDs).

The only retailer that will ship you a burned copy of replicated titles is Amazon because they are actually set up to do all the MOD work themselves for all these titles.

Nice haul!
Recently picked up WPH but haven't watched it yet- BNO is entertaining when viewed as an artifact of it era, but all the others are among the best titles in the Archive, IMO.
And Out Of The Past is one of the best Blu ray releases of the year...and that's a fact.

Something in your cart is ineligible. Probably a very recent release. It's takes several weeks from when a title is first released to when it works in the sales. Usually.

You don't have to stick to batches of 5 as long as you get at least five. I got 6 for $60. So 7 for $70, etc. should work.

Yeah, four were eligible, but not THE YAKUZA, so I had to take it out of the order and replace it with MEET ME IN LAS VEGAS to get the $50 total.

You can get the OOP pressed version for $25 on Amazon. Amazon doesn't even show the Archive version yet. Usually when the titles show up at other retailers, after some weeks, they also become eligible for the Archive sales.

Re: Warner Archive sales

I think this $9.50 per price will finally get me to make my first WB Archive order, mainly some Christmas titles and animation.

Re: Warner Archive sales

Question: Wac has a lower price on ebay for Forbidden Hollywood 8 than they do on there own site. It's currently factory pressed on there site. Will it likely also be so through WAC on ebay?

Re: Warner Archive sales

$44.49 with free ship.

Originally ordered from DD for $37.?, but I cancelled at 10 days; i don't want a burned copy if DD even gets it.

I am going to wait until "Cyber Monday"

Other than the "good luck actually getting a 50" tv from BB" as a consumer this is by far the worst BF in memory.

As a retailer, it's also the worst November in memory.

Re: Warner Archive sales

Kinda sucks. They added tax to my order right at the end which jacked up the price to $10.37 for each.

This is what I got:

The Rise And Fall Of The Third Reich
Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan (Blu-ray Disc)
Fire in the Sky (PMT)
Lost Stooges, The
Beware the Batman: Dark Justice, Season 1 Part 2 (BD)
Classic Shorts From The Dream Factory: Volume 3 (early Three Stooges shorts)
One On One (1977)
CHiPs 99
Beware the Batman: Shadows of Gotham Season 1 Part 1 (BD) (13eps)
Testament (1983) - Paramount

Re: Warner Archive sales

Today only, there's an extra $5 off by entering the code "SAVE5," so you get 5 for 45 or 10 for 90. And, even if you only buy 5 titles and use the SAVE5 coupon, you get free shipping.
