FLINTSTONES Seasons 2 & 3 (maybe 6 copies of each)

SUPERMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES Season 1 (2 copies)

LOIS AND CLARK: Seasons 1 & 3 (a few, not many)

MILL CREEK 80/50 Movie Packs (a lot)
An update to your update: just came from there and the only thing left seems to be a few copies of Flintstones 2 and 3 and one copy of Lois and Clark season 1. There's a ton of War at Home season 1, but everything else is gone...

Also went to the NoHo location on Sherman Way. All they have is a lot of copies of Flintstones season 3 and Tracey Ullman season 1 and that's it. They do, however, have a lot of those Nickelodeon titles if anyone's wanting those. And, oddly enough, about 10 copies of History of Rock n Roll. They weren't there before, I wonder if someone realized they couldn't sell them and just returned them.

That's what I'm afraid of, too. There weren't too many people around the DVDs when I was there, but my coworker said there was quite a crowd milling around them during her visit, so word is definitely getting out, even out here in the boondocks.

Oh, I did see two copies of Graffiti Bridge this time, whereas there was only one the last time I was there. Run!

And cardsfan111, I did my best to survey the entire store. I even started asking one busy-looking older gentleman if there were any DVD displays elsewhere in the store, and he interrupted with, "I don't work here." Oops.

WACKY RACES and 1 copy of FLINTSTONES V.2 are now gone from there! Sorry to miss out on POPEYE - I've been meaning to get that since it came out. That PEBBLES & BAM BAM was gone by the time I got there...

Thanks

Hello lurkers!
This is why I always remain hush hush about my "special" finds at a given store because once the word gets out... well you know.

Re: Big Lots Part 5

Is the Powerpuff Girls set that people are reporting finding really the 6 disc "Complete Series" box set and not the 2-disc "Complete First Season" (from 2007)? I only ask because the complete series set just came out in January! That must set some sort of record for quickest time from the original release to ending up in the Big Lots bin.

I really wanted to find all 6 Flintstones seasons but I'm not going to kill myself to do so.
I went back to the West Bridgewater location yesterday and they had another restock tons of Flintstones season 2-5 (no season 1) everything sealed except season 5.
The cashiers were telling me that resellers have been hitting the store hard spending over a $100 everyday, one guy goes twice a day......I dunno why it seems they may have tons of these Flintstones in the back room and they keep restocking.

I did pick up Space Ghost and Dino boy...they also had Josie & the pussycats.
Totally sold out of tales From The Crypt glad I grabbed the first 6 seasons the other day.

Re: Big Lots Part 5

I went to Circleville, Chillicothe, Grove City, Brice Rd, S. High St. & Hilliard location yesterday on my quest for Looney tunes.

To no avail. Some stores had some new stuff, but all repeats of everything else. No haul of any kind. And almost every store told me they are not putting anything out til the day of ad. (sunday) grrr!

Re: Big Lots Part 5

I was at the BL on Brice Road in Columbus, Ohio yesterday and they still had a LOT of Flintstones Season 1, 2 and 3 if anyone needs them.

Also, the BL in the old Great Southern Shopping Center on South High Street had a few copies of various Flintstones and the Pebbles & Bam Bam set as well as a couple copies of Tales From The Crypt Seasons 2 & 5, I believe. There are 2 displays at this store...the normal 4-sided rack as well as another grouping in the Electronics area right next to the front window.

Re: Big Lots Part 5

Sunday July 26th is looking to be the Mother of all Big Lots shopping days! The days following that should be the Daughter of all Big Lots re-stock days!
I wonder how many "vultures" as the term has been used here, ha, will be at the gates right before opening time? I think I'll greet the Vultures waiting for the store to open Sunday morn and ask "do they sell Cat food here?" But, then, I'll casually look through the locked doors and say "Huh!? They sell DVD's too? That Looney Tunes Box set sure looks interesting!" Heh, heh, heh

Re: Big Lots Part 5

The Hilliard, Ohio BL is pretty worthless when it comes to DVDs compared to other stores I've seen. Of course it figures it'd have the worst selection - it's the store closest to me!

yes it is. I went yesterday evening to that one. They had some Life goes on seasons and pretty much hardly anything else but some Joeys. total waste of time.

I live in Circleville and made friends with the manager, let's just say If there is a Looney Tunes set that comes in to that store it will be mine. He said he will hold it personally for me if one comes in. (woohoo)

Does anyone know if most of these southern Ohio stores open at 8 or 9 AM through the week? I'm going to be heading to Newark for a work conference next week, and thought I might try to hit a few Big Lots, if the timing worked out.

Thanks!

Thanks! I'll be driving north to Newark on Monday morning, and thought I might try to hit the Lancaster BL on the way, and then hit the Newark BL that evening after my sessions end. My only hope will probably be if this rumored Sunday mega-stock gets put on the racks.

Re: Big Lots Part 5

Picked up Murphy Brown S1 and Everwood S1 in Mercerville, NJ. The clerk at the checkout said, "Three dollars, huh? My manager says they were originally like $20." I told her I already had Everwood from years ago (this one was for my mom) and was sure I paid more than $20 for it. Looked it up at home: I paid $34.55 during the November 2004 Deep Discount Sale, and it had just come out in September 2004 at $59.98.

Ah, perspective....

It's a bit of a drive out I70 from Newark, but Sunday I was in the Cambridge, Ohio store and they had tons of stuff. Lots of HB - some Tales from the Crypt - the IMAX set. The best selection I've seen so far. It was probably lucky timing but just thought I'd let ya know.

Luck and timing seem to be the motivating factor in the times I scored stuff. My last trip got me Wacky Races, Flintstones, etc. but when I went back the next day to see if anymore had been added everything I saw the night before was gone. The time I got Tales from the Crypt was the same story.

That's why I'm going to build a time machine. I'm going to BL today to see if they can order me a police box or a slightly used DeLorean so that I can get started...

Pip, pip, wot, and all dat.
