What a rube! I guess if you have to have it right away....

3 USB 2.0 6ft cables from monoprice.com will only set you back $5.57 delivered First class mail which usually takes 2 or 3 days from the left coast to the right.

Re: Big Lots Update Part 3

The Big Lots in my area hasn't gotten anything new in a couple weeks now. It's emptied out enough to where there should be a ton of stuff coming in soon, or at least I hope. Has anyone figured out when they get trucks in or re-stock dvd's or is it completely random?

I've never price shopped them, but on Black Friday Office Depot was charging $25 for 1 cable. Needless to say, i didn't buy it.

It's weekly. Each store is a different day. Most employees at your store should be able to tell you:

1. What day the truck comes in each week
2. How many days it usually takes that particular store to put out their freight.

Re: Big Lots Update Part 3

The Knollwood (St. Louis Park) store has added some multi-disc Mill Creek boxes to the four-sider rack. All $6:

Best of Howdy Doody - 20 Original Episodes
Best of Johnny Carson and Friends
TV Westerns Collection - 57 Episodes
Hollywood vs. The Mob - Fact vs. Fiction
Legend of Rin Tin Tin - 48 Episodes (serial)
Vietnam: America's Conflict

There were more of the older Bonanza, Lucy, Cisco Kid MC packs as well.

Re: Big Lots Update Part 3

Scored the Legend 2-disc "The Killer Shrews / The Giant Gila Monster" at Coon Rapids this A.M. They had at least three more copies in the usual wire four-sider (not in the shortie cardboard browser near the front-center of the store.) $2.40 after today's Buzz Club coupon. Not much else, but all three local stores now have the latest small batch of Mill Creek $6 boxes. Watching "Hollywood vs. The Mob: Fact or Fiction" now. According to the screen credits, this documentary was produced especially for MC. Maybe originally produced on spec for cable and rejected?

Re: Big Lots Update Part 3

I just got back. They had a small restock of the HBO titles with a few new non-hbo titles that I didn't see mentioned before, but I can't remember the names of any of them. None of them were familiar, so I think they were straight-to-video movies with B-List stars. I picked up the newer "Iceman Interviews" which comes in a keep-case and has 3 interviews rather than the one I bought last month at BigLots that came in a snapper case and only had 2 interviews. I felt kinda stupid for buying it again, but I'll just get rid of the other one. I also got "Tabitha:The Complete Series." It's probably dumb, but I figured anytime you can get a complete series (12 episodes) for $2.40 you can't go wrong. Still no "Big Red One."

Didn't even need the coupon, they were giving away the discount to everyone. There was a huge banner advertising it in front of the shopping center to the one I went.

I even picked up a Wolfgang Puck convection oven for $60 there due to it.

There's been plenty of mention of the "An Evening with Kevin Smith 2" being found but never of the 1st one before now. Are you saying you found/bought it at Big Lots ???

has to be the second one, because the 1st one was released by mirimax which is a disney subsidiary and there hasnt ever been a mention or sighting of even one disney title at big lots to date.

Not true -- the first one is a Sony product as well:

http://www.amazon.com/Evening-Kevin-...5588243&sr=1-1

It has also been bundled with the second one in a single package:

Re: Big Lots Update Part 3

Another Sony shipment yesterday. They didn't have the MillCreeks (but I don't care) Here is what I remember:

Greedy (Michael J Fox)
Man on the Moon
Gridlock'd
Prime
One Last Score
Adv of Brer Rabbit
Very Bad Things
Bosworth Mach 2
Head Over Heals
Fankling and Green Knight
DC Cab
Van Helsing: London Assignment
Red Dragon
Rat
Waking the Dead
Timecop 2
Boogeymen (compilation of Horror scenes -- they also had one for action scenes)
Commandments
Proximity
Biloxi Blues
Virus
MacArthur
Little Miss Marker (FS)

Overall, pretty disappointing titles.

Thanks for the report.

Most of those look like Universal titles (maybe a Fox/Sony title or two). Some Universal titles have had gouged UPC's in the past. Did you happen to notice if these do also?

I wish Big Lots would go back to the $2 price they charged a couple of years ago. A few titles in that list I'd be much more pleased considering at that price.

Re: Big Lots Update Part 3

So you'd rather pay $2 instead of $3?

If I could find Very Bad Things and DC Cab at my Big Lots for $3, I'd snatch them up in a heartbeat.

Re: Big Lots Update Part 3

Gotta go snatch DC Cab.

What's not to love about having Mr T and Gary Busey in the same movie?
