I appreciate your offer, but I'll pass. I've learned that with patience (though it may take years) eventually I'll get it for $15 or less (unless it goes OOP), and I've already got too much other stuff to watch (I just got The Incredible Hulk set yesterday) so waiting is easy on some stuff. Thanks again for the offer.
Not a problem at all Manzana. Another poster on here says it's on their website as well, so maybe you can utilize that option, if you still want the set. I don't even bother asking employees about anything in the store, as they always have tht deer in the headlights kind of expression, when asking them about stuff.

Re: TARGET -- 2 packs of TV sets -- 19.99

I know some of these 2 packs are on clearance, and I picked up S1 and S2 of "Sabrina" and I'm blowing through them pretty fast. Does anybody know if they're going to package 3 and 4 together at some point?

Re: TARGET -- 2 packs of TV sets -- 19.99

Surprised to see many of the newer sets on sale -- though they are only about 3.00 off.

Did notice:
Gilmore Girls S1/S2 14.99
most of the other 19.99 sets were 16.99.

and Lipstick Jungle S2 is 4.75 AGAIN (like the third or fourth "sale" on this item from it's regular price of 5.00).
Some I Dream of Jeannie sets at 8.99. (I think it was S3 and S4 -- waiting for S5 ....)

No new single TV sets, mostly the older TV series for the same sale price they have had them for in the past.

FYI, Big Lots has been getting Sabrina seasons for $5 or $6 a season, so you may want to look there...

They can't give Lipstick Jungle away but can someone tell me how much the Square Pegs Complete Series DVD set is going for on sale at Target? Friend of mine loves that show.

Aw man, thanks! Do you know which seasons? The nearest Big Lots to me is about 40 minutes away and I probably won't be going until next weekend. I wanted to get a few more Sabrina sets this weekend too, so I figure this weekend I'll get the ones that Big Lots isn't carrying. Though I know not all Big Lots' inventory is the same

Season 1 - 4 have been spotted but it's a big YMMV.

Re: TARGET -- 2 packs of TV sets -- 19.99

Since BF I have only seen Sabrina the Teenage Witch S4 at BL. I've gone to several different stores since then (I've slowed down now) and not seen any other seasons (nor any more copies of S4 since BF). On top of that I've never seen any seasons of Family Ties or Love Boat at my BLs, so once again the regional variations come into play and some areas simply don't get certain sets. I would definitely buy S1-S3 @ $6 each if I ever saw them.

If you dislike driving as much as I do (and very few people do), I'd suggest you call the store first and try to pressure an employee to look at the DVD sets for you to see if they see any Sabrina seasons because your chances are high that you won't find what you want due to inventory differences. Saying "not all Big Lots' inventory is the same" is an understatement. I'd say most Big Lots have many common items, but every store has some things that others don't (at any moment).

It is funny, I have only seen seasons 1-3 at BL's in and around Atlanta...I still see an occasional S1 buried with the "regular" $3-$5 dvds.

Re: TARGET -- 2 packs of TV sets -- 19.99

Square Pegs is $8.99 on sale and $9.99 regularly.

I'm surprised how well it holds up...dated to be sure, but a lot of the humor still works.

I picked up "Lipstick Jungle" for completions' sake. Got both seasons for a whopping $9.75 total. First season is showing up at Big Lots for $5.

Also grabbed "Modern Family" for $18.99...best price I've seen yet for that.

You got a hell of a deal on the entire series of that show and thanks for the heads up on Square Pegs. Heard it was corny and dated but something similar to that other show Saved By the Bell.

Indeed! The store here only got copies of S1 and those were gone by Christmas. I broke down and got S2 from a amazon MP vendor for $9 right before Target got them.

No comparison between Square Pegs and Saved By The Bell.

SP was a critic's darling that unfortunately lasted only a season.

SBTB was...well...SBTB...Apparently a decent amount of nostalgia for it, but not exactly Shakespeare. It was on Saturday mornings for a reason.

Re: TARGET -- 2 packs of TV sets -- 19.99

I purchased seasons 1-4 of Sabrina and ended up selling them in Jan. You should check the Big Lots trade thread as there may be some copies listed there. (I had to go to several different stores to get all four.)

The one time I did that the employee looked surprised like she had never conceived someone might do that and told me that would be an unethical way around "the system". I did it at a later time and left quickly as she acted like she was in shocked horror that I was the scum of the earth and wanted to call one of their wannabe cops (security guards) to tackle me (or maybe execute me on the spot with their billyclub). If they put loopholes in their system, (1) they should have the brains to realize they exist (nobody had to tell me about this... it was immediately obvious) and (2) they shouldn't get mad and self righteous if someone uses it. Now when they rattle on about their short pricematch window, I just let them go on feeling smug thinking they're sticking it to the consumer. The only time this doesn't work is when the item is out of stock.

I found a hidden seasonal DVD section last week, but it was only Valentine's day stuff. I have yet to find the elusive 2-pack TV seasons section (with any in stock) away from electronics at any Target store (and I won't order from Target.com and pay shipping), and I'm pretty tired of looking for I Love Lucy or Sabrina.
Yea, I did something similar at Walmart. I wanted a price match and I was told I could only do that within 30 days. So then I said well if you don't I'll just return it and buy it again. They were real quick to honor the price match at that point . I just wish I had left that table at home instead of lugging it in my car. I haven't opened these sets at all. I asked a few associates at different locations what would happen if the price decreased within 90 days and I was told just bring it back and return it and buy it again. I keep all my receipts and I have no shame in doing it. I haven't opened any of the sets yet anyway. I think that's the key with DVDs just don't open them and hold onto the receipt! All the great save stuff gets reduced for the most part starting about now unitl they run out of stuff in about probably the beginning of March.

If only you were here we have tons of I Love Lucy and Sabrina sets and no one is buying them! Oh and the way to get around the items being out of stock...a rain check! (9/10 this works)

Good luck with that rain check... These titles are supposedly "limited stock" and will most likely *not* get restocked. That said, the store here *did* get some "Brady Bunch" restock a couple of weeks ago and while there today I saw a single copy of "I Love Lucy" S1/S2 which hasn't been on the display since I first saw it ~4 weeks ago (even then it could be a return) - but the rest is very picked over. *Everything* that's left could easily fit on a single side of one of the cardboard display sets.

But still good price on the entire series of Square pegs versus the Screech show though, but mind you, that lasted within three different incarnations.

Re: TARGET -- 2 packs of TV sets -- 19.99

I remember "Saved By The Bell" started out as "Good Morning Miss Bliss" with Hayley Mills on the Disney Channel, but she left before it mutated into SBTB.

Obviously biased towards "Sqaure Pegs" here but I can't deny SBTB's popularity and longevity.

I've got both but would take SBTB over SP anyday. Bestbuy has 2 pks of SBTB S1/S2 or S3/S4 for $9.99 each. Also, I'd take T.A.T. over S.J.P. anyday.

I remember reading a million years ago in TV Guide of all places, that Square Pegs was brought down by...coke use! So very many folks (behind the scenes) were snorting that they really had trouble doing work...hmmm, can I find any info on the web to back up what I am saying??? YES! Amazing!

EDIT, well, guess I was wrong the cast was as well!

Only the rest of today to buy of course, but just made it to one last night. Sorry if these are prices these sets were in the past, but checking what I see on my phone, I see S2 of Army Wives for $12.99, Bewitched 4, and 5 $8.99 each, Miami Vice S1, $8.99< Who's the Boss S1 $8.99
Martin 2 season Combo, 3-4 For $16.99

They also had a few $2.00 DVDs including Immigrants, an Animated show(movie?) I somehow never heard of with Hank Azaria doing voices...

Re: TARGET -- 2 packs of TV sets -- 19.99

So I didn't see anyone else post this, but at my Target (Seattle area) I just saw season 1 and 2 of nip/tuck for $20. Look everywhere else (Wal-Mart, Amazon, etc) and you will find each season for around $40, sometimes a bit lower. So $20 at target gets you $80 worth of an awesome, guilty pleasure dark drama...

This is an AMAZING DEAL! Now I'm trying to find a good deal on the rest of the series...

I watched the whole series but it went down hill after season 4.
