Many thanks to DVD Talk SuperHero LASER for the alert on the Paramount sale! I picked up WINGS (1927) on Blu Ray for $12.74, cheapest I have ever seen it.

I will also note that the Blu Ray of the 1962 Brando MUTINY ON THE BOUNTY is currently 40% off and can be combined with coupons.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I have a 25% code that I'm not going to use. I will collect PMs for the next 45 mins and give it out to who I think contributes to this forum the most. Never hurts to try since you may be the only one, but I will not necessarily give it out to whoever PM's me first.

EDIT: GONE. Thanks to those who PM'd.

Very tempting to use my 25% coupon on either Sunset Boulevard or Chinatown which are both currently $13.49 each. Unfortunately it doesn't look like these prices are available at the stores when I called to check. The extra 10% would put them under $10.
I went to one of the B&N stores in Vegas and found most of the Paramount blu-ray titles marked down by 50%, including Sunset Blvd and Chinatown. Perhaps you should pay a visit to your store and find out.

I called my local B&N store yesterday and talked to an employee in the movie department inquiring about these titles. He put my on hold to check and said they were $26 each. Otherwise I would have gone to pick up Sunset Boulevard. Anyway they are getting a new release in January by Warner with a lower $19.99 list price. Should have an opportunity to get both $10 or less eventually if I wait it out.

Would anyone be so kind as to provide a coupon code for me? I know I don't have a gigantic amount of posts, but gosh darn it I'm established and I actually have a Tom Baker Doctor Who scarf!

Found a 20% one in another email account. Almost missed it... I'm heading to bed, so I'm just gonna post it. Please be courteous and post if you use it...

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I have three things to say.

1. Thank you very much, LASERMOVIES!
2. This is a good sale if you're a Doctor Who fan.
3. This sale can be VERY hard on your wallet if you're a Doctor Who fan.

Here's one more 20% code that is still valid for about one more hour.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I reserved Mad Men Season 5 for tomorrow. Catch Me If You Can seems to be unavailable for reservation, oh well. I've had experiences where the website said it was unavailable, but the item was in store. I'll check when I go to the store tomorrow. Worst case is I get Best Buy to price match and use a $5 rewards certificate.

Catch Me If You Can, UPC: 097361474342, lists for $22.99 at Barnes & Noble so it will be $13.79 in store tomorrow after 40% off.

If you have a member discount it becomes $12.41, and if the 20% coupons people received in the mailer (don't expire until 12/24) work it will be $9.93 before taxes.

Unless my nearest Barnes & Noble does not have any in stock it might be easier for me to price match at Best Buy, SKU 6959089, $14.99 (so I would only save $1.20 then use my $5 rewards certificate to make it $8.79 before taxes.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Any tidbits about possible coupons coming up during the 40% off sale - unique or not? I barely get the member ones in e-mail - doubt I'd get any any snail mail (haven't so far...)

Ever since I called Barnes & Noble about a year ago I've been getting e-mails from them almost weekly. So they did something to my account.

LASER has to confirm the coupons but as far as I know the only percentage off ones that I know about are the ones received in snail mail. Oh, of course the $8 off $40 and $5 off $50.

I'm afraid it doesn't look promising. No signs of any new online or store coupons coming later on in the week.

Will the 20 percent coupons in the mailer work on the 40 percent sale? I seem to remember people having trouble using them on certain sales.
It's a pain to get to the store this time of year, but I'd go if they work as I haven't used mine yet.

I didn't see anything confirming the sale, but we may have an answer very soon if it starts tonight online.

You will have to wait and see. It's hard to predict what B&N will allow from one sale to the next with their coupons. I would figure with very few coupons around there would not be any restrictions, but who knows.
