Actually now I look at my order, I think you are right. The 2 BDs that I ordered were - The Last Metro and John Adams. The system took 20% off from the John Adams BD bringing the item cost to $40. I always thought that one can use these coupons for preorders.

Laser, do you think there's any chance that the 15% coupons will come back with regularity after this B2G1F sale is over? I just can't believe they'd shut those down so quickly. If they do, I'm really gonna be angry. It's bad enough that they are basically never offering 25% coupons, and only rarely offering 20% coupons any more. If they don't offer at least one 15% coupon every couple of weeks, then I'm absolutely through with them.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Just got the first three seasons of the Rockford Files using the B2G1F and the 20% off the highest priced item. Ended up costing about $21 each in the end, which is better then it would have been in the DD sale if prices stayed the same.

Is there a date on the father's day sale anywhere? I assume it ends tomorrow, so I'm thinking about holding off on a b2g1 until then, but I don't want to lose the 20% coupon.

Most of the coupons were valid for pre-orders. The exception being the stackable $5 off coupons for members. B&N has thrown us some curves lately with the 20% coupons. Seems they have been varying the restrictions each time they release them. The last 20% coupons didn't work through the bookstore links, but believe they did work on pre-orders since I don't remember anyway having problems. This time it is reversed. No pre-orders, but valid through the bookstore links.

Well at least you sort of found a work around for the pre-order issue by using the coupon with a in stock item and combining it with the B2G1F sale. That's probably the only way to get around the pre-order restriction.

I have no inside information on the coupons, and it is basically a week to week search to see what is coming up. So I have no idea about the future of what B&N is going to do with them.

But I have noticed B&N gradually started cutting back on the weekly 15% coupons. I could expect to find two new 15% member coupons along with a non-member 10% coupon every week minimum. Then several months ago they cut it to one 15% and one 10% coupon. Now they are down to only a weekly 10% coupon for the fourth week in a row. I still believe there will be more 15% coupons, but probably fewer compared to what there were. I hope I'm wrong and it goes up to where it was in the past, but we will have to wait and see.

I don't remember seeing a end date but would assume it would run through at least tomorrow.

If you buy an item from their online store, can you return it to a B&M store?

Yes, but they might not credit your credit card. Some stores only give store credit for web returns... But the good news is you get to keep any cashback you earned since the website isn't notified of your return...

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I was wondering (for those with memberships who have made a purchase during this current b2g1 dvd offer). In the past for example if you were purchasing say 3 $40 Criterions. When using your membership card for the 10% they would take take $4 off all three dvd's (even the free one). Making the price $68 for the three of them. Does the computer still do that? Or was that some sort of computer glitch that has now been fixed? Also do any of our current coupons that we have access to here in the forum work during this b2g1 dvd offer to help bring the price even further down?

Thanks in advance for any info/advice.

Yes, see my post #609 above. I used the 20% off coupon with the b2g1 free offer.

I have never known B&N to take 10% off of a free title. It definitely does not do that currently...

Yep, it's over now.

Unfortunately, the titles that had that sale taken off, didn't get put back into the B2G1 sale (for example, Weeds Season 4).

It's not part of the B2G1F sale, but I thought this was a good deal. Buck Rodgers complete series for $10.15 (using the military link and 20% off coupon)

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

That sucks. I've been waiting for a new coupon. Even 15% would be OK. I'm highly disappointed with them this year. The best coupon they had was 40% off list price for one day, but I didn't see that until it had already expired...

And that stackable coupon expires September 21, 2009 so we probably won't see a new one of those for a while either...

With itself. You can save $5/$10/$15. You need to look at the coupons on the first page (one is under current member coupons, the other under future coupons). Laser explains all 3 parts of the coupon... They are both members coupons...

There is another chance for some 15% coupons on Monday. I'm hoping a few will show up since the only remaining member 15% code expires next week. Otherwise it is only 10% coupons if you used the $5 coupon, or can use the AAA 15% coupon.

My guess if there is another one look for it in late August. Seems they issue the new coupon around the end of the purchase date deadline for new memberships listed on the coupon details, which is August 26 for the new one. At least B&N didn't raise the purchase requirements again.

You are absolutely right. I was looking back at my June 07' receipts. And I got confused it listed a member savings of $12 even though the discount was actually only $8. Sorry about that.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Need some advice and help. I'm looking at getting 3 Criterions that are $30 each during this buy 2 get 1 free before it ends. Employees at two different stores said that when all three items are the same price a coupon will not allegedly work. That allegedly the computer/register will discount from the free title. Is this true? After my member 10% discount it brings the price to $54. I wanted to check on here first before making any purchases. Any info much appreciated. I'm wanting to save as much as possible and not short myself as a consumer. Any first hand experience/info/knowledge on this much appreciated. I've never had access to any coupons during any past b2g1 free sales.

What coupon were you trying to use? Maybe that was the problem.

Can you do the order online? Seems you would be able to get a better deal if you can order over the internet with one of the member online codes.
