Mini FAQ

Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order

Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Was reading some post about magazines....YMMV.......I think

Have used coupons on magazines probaly at least 100 times over
the years as a member. Had no idea until today that they were
excluded. No associate ever said anything. No coupon did not scan.
This has been at probaly five different stores in two diffeent states.

Been about a month since last magazine/coupon purchase. So maybe
it has just changed. Hope not......it's the only thing that has kept me
renewing each year besides the Criterion sale.

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but currently buy two get one free. Think it ends today though...

I find coupons like these - 20% off, on top membership discount and any sale price if any, makes for a decent deal on a cd, dvd or book.
Actually magazines have always been included and still are! I have been using B&N coupons on magazines for years, The fine print in the coupon specifies digital magazines like those used on the Nook, not printed copies.

digital content (including but not limited to Nook Books, magazines, and periodicals)

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

B&N posted the surprise coupons early. Confirmed there are no barcodes again, which means you'll need the emails for a valid coupon.

Also added several new 20% online codes for members to the first page.

I was "Buzzed" today with a 20% off coupon good for only 3 days. Have we ever figured out if these codes are personal, one-time use codes? Mine is a 6-digit number.

Sounds like a generic coupon code. I would assume you could probably use them multiple times. Was it the same number as the one posted by kenbenobi last week? His code looked like a regular store coupon number like this example from a recent coupon.

^ Yep, same code. I glanced at the coupons on the first page and must have missed it.

I'm wondering if the coupon could even be used beyond the so called 3 day dead line. These Buzz coupons don't seem to have an actual date listed when they expire. The 20% online code is still active and I've been able to use it several times. I would assume the store coupon could also be used beyond three days if there is no expiration date.

I enrolled with two different VISAs with two different cell phone numbers a week apart. Both texts I received had the same code in them. I have a feeling they don't expire after 7 days like they say.

The $5 off $15 code is what I am talking about. The reason I enrolled with a second VISA/cell phone is I never got a chance to use the first code (after 7 days) I received on my first phone. I thought the text on my second phone would be a different code, but it wasn't.

It's probably too much of a hassle to keep changing coupons since this seems to be an ongoing promotion requiring signing up for the texts to receive the offer. I don't have a cell to sign up, but it appears there are only 3 different coupons so far. Since they look like generic coupons anyone could use them that gets the text messages, with the exception of the online code anyone can use. Also as long as the online coupon is valid I would assume the store coupons would continue to work as well. I would imagine eventually they will replace them with a new batch, but have a feeling they will keep these for awhile.

I don't know what you're looking for but there are plenty of coupons to use. They did add some new blu-ray titles to the under $10 list after the b2g1f sale ended. I may pick up a few cheap blu's after the surprise coupons come out. I'm hoping I can get at least a 30% coupon this time around.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Even with a 50% off coupon it seems nearly impossible to find a decent deal.

I wish I had the problem of trying to use a 50% off coupon. I have a ton of things I want to buy but I got a 15 or 20% and a 30%.

If anyone has codes they don't want to use, I'll take some or just post them here so we can fight over them.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Anyone else experiencing this glitch that benefits the user? I received a temporary premium membership from my Borders account, which says it was supposed to expire on January 31, 2012. I'm still getting the free member express shipping when I go to checkout on items under $25. I did not renew the premium membership.

I had a similar experience last year with my paid membership account. It was supposed to run out on January 31, but it was still active for another week before they finally shut it down. Not sure why I got the extra week but I made use of it while I had it.
