ffffffffff.... found a groupon I forgot to use. The balance drops from $20 to $10 on 4/11 ($10 was the purchase price). What to get, now that I can't get it 50% off?

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I kept my 50% coupon gettin's pretty light. Picked up the Criterions for "Sword of Doom" and "Shock Corridor" from Greenville, SC; went to one side of town for one, the other side of town for the other. On the way out, I perused the bargain books and found "Kirby: King of Comics" for $10; since I had 10 50% coupons at my disposal, just whipped out another one for the book. A friend of mine who accompanied me on my excursion laughed at me every time I feigned excitement and shock when the associate told me I had a 50% coupon.

Unfortunately, that handy link has so far been useless, at least for me. I have entered my information many times since LASER first provided the link, and I have still not received ANYTHING from B&N.

How difficult could it be? They only ask for my member number and e-mail address. Their computer confirms that the member number and e-mail are attached to the same account, and I start getting coupons. What a bunch of morons.

You are assuming they are incompetent but I say they know exactly what they are doing. I receive coupons to email addresses NOT linked to my membership but never to the address that IS linked to my membership. And that's not a coincidence. They send emails to the addresses I rarely/never use to buy anything and never send anything to the address that's used for numerous purchases. I think they want to entice non-members, infrequent customers to the site so they send them coupons. Therefore, there's no need to send coupons to the frequent buyers.

The numbers on the receipt didn't work for me either. The one from the confirmation email worked though.

You've got to hit multiple stores, cashiers, times. It's YMMV.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

For Brizz:

Spoiler:
I had the customer service desk place most of my STHs. Then they give me the printout which doesn't even mention that it's a pre-order and went up and paid at the register. The coupons still scan and work. The only reason that you'd normally get trouble is if someone ringing you up knows it's a pre-order, then they think they're breaking the rules and won't do it. This method eliminates that issue. Also, being in LA, there are quite a few BNs. I went to some that don't even have movie sections. They can still order them. Same story there, but since they don't deal with it often, they kick up less of a fuss.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Could be an interesting week for coupons. A new series of online coupons up to 25% off look like they are coming later in the week. I assume you probably have to receive B&N emails to get a unique one use code. It's possible a set of store coupons are also coming and I will look for those later in the week. Here are the details I saw for the 25% coupon.

http://cart2.barnesandnoble.com/shop...=&promoid=9552

25% off one item Online Coupon Details:

This coupon can only be redeemed once online at BN.com

This coupon is valid from April 14, 2011 to April 18, 2011 at 2:59 a.m. Eastern Time.

The 25% discount will be applied to the most expensive eligible item in the order - not the entire purchase - and will be deducted after all other eligible discounts, including (if applicable) the standard Member discount, are applied.

Additional Rules Governing Use of this Coupon: This coupon is (i) not redeemable for cash or cash equivalents (including Gift Cards and online Gift Certificates); (ii) not valid on past purchases; (iii) not eligible for purchases of the following products and services: Barnes & Noble Memberships, Gift Cards, Gift Certificates, gift-wrapping, textbooks, video games, digital content (including but not limited to digital books, magazines, and periodicals), NOOK(TM) and related accessories, other hardware and electronics, software, products available for pre-order, products from the Rosetta Stone Series, products available for in-store ship-to-home orders, shipping or handling expenses, or products marked as not eligible for "coupons or promotional discounts," (iv) not valid on purchases made from third parties accessible from the bn.com website (e.g., used books, PC and video games, etc.); (v) not valid at hp.bn.com (vi) may not be combined with any other coupon or promotional discount; and (vii) may not be combined with the Educator program discount. This coupon is not valid at Barnes & Noble retail stores or Barnes & Noble College Bookstores. Void where prohibited by law.

Did you get an e-mail with the tracking link? I got mine and with expedited shipping (free with membership), mine will arrive Thursday. But if you had the standard shipping, I guess a week might be normal.

I think so. I'm at work now, where email is blocked (yeah, I can search the internet all day long and shop til I drop, but I can't check email, Ebay, or Facebook). I'll check when I get home... I should have received expedited shipping on everything because of the member account... Unless they goofed.

Thanks LASERMOVIES!

Worth noting is that there is currently a 40% Off Sale on pretty much every Kids DVD (including Disney) so if you wanted a $19.99 Disney DVD and are a Member, you could end up only paying around $8.00 for it.

And that sale includes the new Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows DVD and blu-ray.

I have a 20% non-membership online code I'm not going to use. First one that posts gets it. I'll send it either by PM or email to keep the lurkers from getting it.
