Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only.

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Criterions, Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc.
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order

Return period is 14 days after delivery though possibly it's 30 days now for most people though there is a discrepancy b/w the receipt and website.
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept

Single Item 15% OFF, but should be reusable in different transaction and if the Clerks will scan it more than once.

I believe they are open now. I just called and didn't get the same message as yesterday. I have to call back after 9:00 PM, as my daytime minutes are all but gone.

You're right, thx for the tip. I'm on hold right now...

EDIT: Just got off the phone with them. Supposedly nothing has actually been canceled. She said their system automatically sends out the cancel notices when something isn't in stock in the warehouse. I know that doesn't make sense, since we would all be getting cancel emails for other pre-orders we placed. But that's what she said. Getting the "delayed" email this morning for Let Me In puts my mind at ease, since that was the first cancel email I received. So I guess I'll just wait and see what happens. It's just strange that I received cancel emails on 3 straight days, for different items, all from the same order...

Titles include the first two of the Stieg Larsson trilogy, True Grit, and The African Queen. Some pretty good prices if you use a coupon and free shipping link (if still available).
I managed to snag True Grit near the end of the B2G1F sale when it dropped to 50% off with a couple of other titles.

The free shipping links along with all the other discount links were finally shutdown yesterday. If you don't have a membership you would now have to spend $25 or more to qualify for free shipping. Maybe in the future B&N will offer more free shipping coupons. They recently had one for Mastercards but it expired today.

I'm still getting a 10% discount when shopping via the AAA B&N link. There's no longer a banner saying it's a AAA B&N site but the discount is there.

I just checked the AAA web site and it still shows a 10% discount for B&N. I went through it and sure enough I got 10% discount. However when I went through checkout further I discovered a coupon code was added automatically to my order. Apparently that was why I was getting the discount. Here is the information I found on it. I'm wondering if it can be used multiple times. If you use the code you wouldn't need the link at AAA to activate it. It's valid until January 2012.

Thanks for the heads-up on True Grit. Ended up costing me $10.81 shipped after 15% coupon and 4% cash back.

Excellent work, Sir! I just now checked the "Order Status" page through the direct sign-on, and my "canceled" order is now showing for the first time.

I guess the AAA thing is to keep everyone from double dipping the discount and the coupon.

Before they deactivated the links it was already set up to prevent combining coupons and discounts. Now you can use the coupon and combine it with cashback. Seems like an improvement but there are possibly a few drawbacks. I would assume the coupon will not qualify for pre-orders, or work with the Criterion sale like the past link did before it was shut down. Also I wonder if the coupon is a one time per account discount, or if you can use it multiple times.

There's a Groupon available now - $10 for $20 worth of stuff at Barnes & Noble. Here's the link (you'll need to add www at the beginning):

Thanks, looks interesting. It sort of reminds me of the overwhelming offers offered by Mastercard marketplace. Unfortunately those sell out within a few seconds and I never have been able to win one for B&N. I'll have to look into this company and read the fine print of the offer before I'm willing to risk it.

Thanks, I did it! Don't forget cashback sites. FW has 6% right now, plus they have a direct link to the deal. That's what I used...

Groupon is extremely popular. I don't think you have to worry about them. They've been around for quite a while now, and have websites for every major city. I usually look at www.groupon.com\milwaukee but they are all over... Insert your own city and take a look. Deals change daily.
If you got in on the livingsocial.com amazon GC deal a few weeks ago, this is basically the same thing. Living Social is a Groupon wannabe, but groupon came first... However, this B&N GC apparently has a shelf life. You need to spend it by 4/1, which shouldn't be a problem for any of us B&N regulars...

As for overwhelming offers, I had no idea Mastercard Marketplace participated. I usually do them through bordersrewardperks.com. Yes, they are difficult to get, but I have successfully done 4 deals there. Persistence is the key...

I did order the Groupon but I find it unacceptable that I can't log in to my account to order or view. There's no excuse for that. Amateurs.

BTW...if you have a Discover try buying Groupons via Shopdiscover. Today there was 20% back so this deal should only cost me $8.

Sweet deal, but I don't have Discover unfortunately... I really should think about getting one again. I think they were my first credit card 21 years ago, but I canceled the account for some reason...

Ok their signin is still screwed up so here's what you actually do:

Order from their mobile site here:

http://touch.groupon.com/deals/barne...utm_source=rvs

Sign in with their merchant site here and click print:

https://merchants.groupon.com/login

The code is in the pdf. It says it can't be used til tommorrow but you can still use it online now. I have no idea how to get the 20% from discover though.

Thanks, that worked! I'll have to start searching for items to buy tonight. Too bad they didn't do this during the B1G1F sale, cuz I spent a ton then...

I didn't sign in when I made my purchase. I just filled in the information manually. But I used the same email address, and it DOES appear in my account, now that you showed me how to access it via the mobile site...

Let Me In has shipped now! YAY! I have to wait a few weeks to see if Weeds S6 ships, but so far, so good... Plus I have other orders with February pre-orders that should start shipping soon... Whew! Still, B&N definitely has issues they need to resolve. The recent delayed charges, plus the incorrect canceled emails, and the lack of offer emails being sent out are just a few examples...

How long did it take for it to show up in your account? I just ordered one 10 minutes ago. Has anyone received an email yet?

Yes, I received the email. I ordered within a few minutes of the first post and got the email roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes later.

I never heard of Groupon before but thanks for the feedback. Okay guess I will give it a shot.

I get emails for bordersrewards but have not signed up for that one. It looks a lot like the Mastercard overwhelming offers site.

I managed to win once for a $40 off a $50 purchase at Walmart.com a few months ago. That's the only thing I ever managed to get with OO. I always try for the $25 off $50 B&N offers but apparently I'm not fast enough to win it.

Unfortunately I only have a Visa and Mastercard. I can't do the Discover card offer.

Cool. I'm wanting the get the African Queen blu ray since it dropped to $14.99. I submitted a lower price at Amazon, but they haven't matched.
Wish they would have offered this last week.

Just put my order in and hopefully will get an extra 8% cashback through Mr. Rebates since I don't have a Discover card.
