Re: General Costco DVD Thread

Just got back from Costco.. while their selection is quite limited (as most of us know), they do have some good deals. I bought Mr & Mrs Smith BD for 13.99, which is FAR LESS than any price I've seen.

Im not going to list the 13.99 movies becuz there are a few previous posts with them and it doesnt look like the prices have changed. However, there are a couple of sets that might not have been listed which had some great prices.

Dirty Harry Set 84.99
Batman Anthology 84.99
The Godfather Trilogy Set 49.99

All will also be available at Costco.com.

No blu-ray players are llsted, but an upscaling Panasonic DVD/VHS recorder with digital tuner will be $40 off in store and online. #290022.

I was hoping there would be coupons when I saw these in the store.
The Warner sets will be $65 after the coupon and the Sopranos $140.

Thanks! Wonder if I should bite on the sopranos set? I passed the last time, because I didn't have time to watch. Still don't, but at what $150? it is tempting.

Anyone have an idea what the Dirty Harry Blu-ray set will sale for at Costco with the $20 off. It used to be on their website, but it seems to be gone now.

..

Yes all the Warner sets ie Batman, Harry Potter, Dirty Harry etc. are $85 before the coupon.

As for the coupons being at the store sometimes they are and other times they are not. I have had to argue more than once when I didn't get booklet in the mail. Anyone who doesn't get the coupons should check at customer service. Some people request that they not receive promotional announcements when they sign up at Costco, not realizing that this includes the coupon books. You should check your account to see if it is set to receive the coupon books.

I think CombatCraig is confused. Die Hard is a FOX set and not part of this Warner coupon. I saw nothing relating to that set in the book.

Ah thanks, I was wondering about that. Die Hard set is still only $50 at Costco, may have to grab that at some point.

Re: General Costco DVD Thread

Saw a bunch of S1 SNL sets for $19.99 (regular packaging). No other seasons yet.

Rodney Dangerfield - Ultimate No Respect Collection (3 DVD Set - 7 hours) for $16.99.

I went to two Costco's this Monday and asked at CS. I got big attitudes, but no coupon book. ...Tho a woman in one store told me the coupon books go out to Premier members first, so it may yet show up. Apparently these coupons aren't valid until Monday 6/15. Maybe they'll have them at CS then. I'm just annoyed cos each store had only a handfull of Potter boxes (the only one I want), and I'll yank my hair out if they're all gone by next Monday!

If you are really concerned about it selling out, you can buy the Potter box now and then bring the coupon with you once you receive it and do a return & re-buy. I was in a similar situation once and was advised to do that by one of the Costco CS.

This may be a YMMV like getting CS to give you a coupon book...When the Pixar blu's were on sale recently (5$ coupon), I looked up and down for Wall-E, a title they had plenty of stock on before the sale, couldn't find and tried to get a rain-check. They would not issue because the SKUs eligible for coupon were for an "assortment", and they had tons of Pinocchio's which were part of the assortment.

They make these stories up. I was once told that the reason I didn't get the coupons was because I didn't use the last coupons that Costco sent. It has been my experience that the coupon books are not available in store until the first day the coupons are valid. Your best chance is to go on June 15
