I saw them still on Thursday.

Unfortunately not. And at my Costco, all of their copies of The Essential John Ford were pretty battered and shopworn, and all but one of John Ford's American Comedies (which is the one I grabbed immediately.)

They got in some animation DVDs this week for $18.99:

Tom & Jerry: Chuck Jones Collection
Max Fleischer's Superman
Both Saturday Morning Cartoons collections

Wow great price^

Is it the old set or the new slimcase set?

Re: General Costco DVD Thread

For $24, it'd nearly be worth replacing my wife's old megaset of Jeeves in order to save space. If it were remastered, I'd buy it in a second.

Yes, it's the slim case. I'm disappointed it's not the remastered set, but it's worth it for the price and space-saving.

You can purchase items you know are going on sale before the coupons are valid, then bring the receipt and the coupon in during the valid offer period and they will reimburse you the difference. I've done it before and had no problem.

Yeah, but that's an extra trip. Plus I bought the thing a week and a half ago already.

Snowmaker, sounded like you were going to make a second trip on Monday anyway. I'm just putting the information out there, so if there's something one of the readers really wanted with limited quantities they wouldn't have to resort to hiding it.

Re: General Costco DVD Thread

Not sure if this has been brought up yet, but right now they have a sale on the Blu-ray seasons of Lost. Buy any two seasons ($48.99 each) and save $20 instantly.

Also saw the following BD movies

$14.99:
Kill Bill V1
Kill Bill V2
Gangs of New york

$13.99
The Rock
Die Hard 4

And a bunch of others I didn't bother remembering.

I spotted a sign advertising this in-store last week and grabbed S1 & S2 on the spot. Amazon is offering this same deal, but I prefer to actually physically buy in person, rather than mail-order whenever possible so I went with Costco. I'm hoping to scroung together the $$ to grab S3 & S4 before the promo ends (which is 7/16).

Saw some $6.99 DVDs with $7.50 Movie Cash to Bruno and Funny People. The ones I remember: American Pie, I Now Pronounce you Chuck and Larry, Wet Hot American Summer, and at least one more that I'm spacing.

Re: General Costco DVD Thread

I was in Costco yesterday and they have a big new HBO display with titles like OZ, Sex/City, Carnivale, Curb and others (Raymond is also in the coupon pic). Most season sets were either $16.99 or $19.99 each. The new coupon book (which starts Monday, 7/13) has a $5 off no limit coupon for HBO TV on DVD sets. The Curb, OZ and Carnivale sets would be $11.99 each with coupon. Others would be $14.99.

There's also a coupon for BBC Classic Film Collection $10 off. No limit.

Jane Austen, Anthony Trollope, George Eliot, Charles Dickens, Elizabeth Gaskell.
