Re: DVDs at Ross - Dress for Less!

Checked the local store today. Nothing real exciting. The only ones I'd say are worth mentioning at all was a combo dvd/book for Lemony Snickett for $5.99, the $9.99 Lombard Glamor was still there, there was a $9.99 LOTR gift pack (don't remember which version), & one of the Hulk boxes (sorry I don't remember which one) for $19.99

After scoring the Lombard @ $6.99 the other day, I'll probably start going in occasionally again.

Re: DVDs at Ross - Dress for Less!

They finally got some new stock in at our local store. I picked up SHE-RA season one volume 2 (for $8) and a Marlon Brando four movie collection (for $7).

Re: DVDs at Ross - Dress for Less!

I saw some fairly new releases but they were $9.99. They were The Expendables, Knight and Day, and The Town.

I also saw a lot of WB animation like Baby Looney Tunes volumes, Get a Clue Scooby-Doo volumes, The Looney, Looney, Looney Bugs Bunny Movie, and a few others. They ranged from $3.99 to $4.99.

I was in three different Ross stores today. Each store had recieved fresh stock and the DVD rack looked almost full. I saw one one copy of Star Trek the original series ( the older non-remastered set ) for $19.99 in each store.

Re: DVDs at Ross - Dress for Less!

Went in today. The only thing new since last time was a $9.99 Blu-Ray ast & a $4.99 Stresand Funny Girl/Funny Lady set.

Best of the Blu titles were Casablanca, Neverending Story & Pan's Labyrinth. Probably about 10 more.

Picked up Inception today at the Ward Ave. Ross for $9.99...the rack seemed to have been re-stocked recently, although the usual batch of belly dance, Christian propaganda and B-grade children's discs was still there as always.

...along with the usual atheist propaganda....

Saw Animal House set ($14.99) and some $9.99 Blu-rays. Picked up Woody Woodpecker V.2 for $4.99 since I missed it at Big Lots.

Had a friend who found Trek Season 2 recently.

Re: DVDs at Ross - Dress for Less!

Went into Ross tonight. They had 2 of the $2.99 Big Lots box sets from 2 years ago, but at higher prices:
Flintstones S2 $14.99
Trollz gift set $4.99

My score was the remastered 2 disc led zeppelin Song Remains The Same @ $3.99 (with the usual Big Lots style slashed UPC)

Also saw Animal House Gift pack @ $14.99, Wiz of Oz 70th (1 film 4 disc) @ $19.99 & most of the $9.99 Blu's I saw last time including Casablanca

Re: DVDs at Ross - Dress for Less!

The Ross near me seems to be rather depleted. Not just of Dvd's but of other merchandise as well. Maybe this Ross is going to close soon?....

I was at a local Ross this past weekend and saw the Animal House box for $11.99 and The Blair Witch Experience box set for $6.99. Wasn't interested in either-

Re: DVDs at Ross - Dress for Less!

I was there on Wednesday, this and that - nothing of interest.

I went back yesterday since my shaver died. They changed the DVD rack a bit, still the same stuff... but I did find something new.

Picked up, "Bonnie And Clyde: Ultimate Collector's Edition" the box was undamaged; $7.99. I only saw one copy. Cool. I've been wanting to find that.

Re: DVDs at Ross - Dress for Less!

It's now yesterday.

Was over at the store and found several "How The West Was Won"; three copies of the movie only (three discs) and the big box set. The odd thing, all are priced the same, $6.99.

So I take both; the big box and one of the movie only editions to customer service and ask 'why'?

She scratched her head too and then pulled out a three ring binder with bar codes. Asked if I wanted it for $4.99?

Yes, yes I do.

Saved two bucks. Sway.
