Re: Ollie's Bargain Outlet

Nice. I paid $36.14 at book outlet for the Captain America Omni, it had a remainder mark (black sharpie dot) and I didn't get any reese's cups. I found volume 2 of JLA at Ollie's, but no Volume 3...now I want a reese's cup.

PSA buy 2 get one free on books at Target, with some price reductions and coupons going on at Amazon to get the better pricing. Not as good as Ollie's, but the Grant Morrison Batman Omni's are pretty cheap. So is Snyder Batman Omni volume 1.

1. Since I had a %15 coupon, was able to minus off $15.
2. The Captain America book was still wrapped in plastic.
3. Also spotted a Defenders and Iron Man Hardcover collection.
4. Did not see any of the 100 page giant issues (Main reason for the trip).
5. The small bags of candy was marked down to .79.

I would be horrified eating or drinking near my comic books...lol. It's a big hurdle for the collector in me.

I took my silver surfer #10 on a sleepout in hut we made out of old lumber on an empty lot. I would guess that was 1975.

A comic in better than VG condition is a travesty.

Re: Ollie's Bargain Outlet

I went to 7 Ollie’s locations in 4 different states last week (NY, PA, VA, SC) and nobody really had any “goldmines” compared to another. These were my pickups, mostly one off’s here and there but mostly all the same stuff everywhere. The Deadpool adamantium was the biggest score for me (plus I had a 15% off coupon too)

Re: Ollie's Bargain Outlet

Nice Haul. This thread has been pretty quiet, nice to see someone finding something. I called the Ollie's an hour away from me enough times that they know it's me looking for the Deadpool book.

Re: Ollie's Bargain Outlet

my store has been closed for about a month but opened again this past weekend. I went in today and found the Deadpool Minibus 2 and HC collecting Deadpool 1-12 along with a few other smaller items.

Re: Ollie's Bargain Outlet

I've been meaning to post this for a while but for some reason forgot about it. Ollie's has been selling several types of comic book packs recently. In December they started selling the DC 10 packs for $5.99. These packs usually included 4-5 $9.99 books (Anniversary editions, black label issues) and 1-3 $1 books and 1-3 random DC issues. Then there's a Marvel/DC 5-pack for $6.99 that has just random Marvel/DC stuff. Then there's a Indy 10 pack for $5.99 that just has random IDW, Archie, Boom, Archaia and other indy books. No Image books on those so far. And lastly, there's a random 10 pack for $5.99 packaged by New Dimension comics that has random Marvel/DC/Indy books from the 1980's till 2021. The weird thing about these random 10 packs is that some have $20 dollar books and some have mature audience books like Hellina, which I don't really understand being included as any kid could get a hold of these books and then parents throws a fit and this would be the end of these multipacks.

The DC 10 packs with anniversary content are a good deal, but just be aware many have variant covers of the same book in them, so you will likely get doubles, but on the big books, you can read the spines while in the package. The new dimensions package sounds like a fun expedition, I'll keep my eye out. I haven't been to Ollie's since a couple weeks before Christmas. This thread and reddit posts are usually what drives me to it.

Yeah, that thing about doubles in the DC 10 packs was weird. Got doubles for Action Comics 1000 and Flash 750 in the same pack.

I guess someone isn't vetting the books they're putting in those packs. I looked up Hellina, and it's hardcore porn with full penetration. The covers make it look a typical "bad girl" sword and bikini title like Lady Death or Witchblade, but it's full on XXX.

This is going to make the evening news somewhere...

Tonight on Channel 9 evening news: Is Ollie's peddling porn? Parents enraged by comic books with adult pornographic content being sold to kids. Tonight at 11 we'll investigate this

Yeah, I don't think anyone is seriously screening those multi-packs.

I went today and got The Annotated Watchmen, The Annotated Sandman volumes 2, 4, Batman Noir Dark Victory, and Detective Comics: 80 Years of Batman. No Omnis to buy, though.

Hope those Omnibus hit my store soon. Only saw Vol 3 and 4 of the annotated Sandman for $12.99. I passed on them cause I already own like 5 different versions of the entire Sandman collection

Re: Ollie's Bargain Outlet

Man, am I jealous.I picked up the Defenders omni for $36 from Bookoutlet when they had a big sale a little after black friday and simultaneously were getting black dot remainders. It was fast and furious as books would appear and disappear. But, I'd love to get the X-men and Spider-Man. Better yet, a silver surfer. Another guy on the blu ray forum scored a simonson thor omni. i'm staring at my Annotated Sandmans and telling them, "You're not good enough!"

You saw Annotated Sandman volume 3? That's good to know. I'm trying to decide if I should get the set or return them and wait it out for omnis.

Some guy on youtube cleaned out multiple copies of the spider-man volume 2 omnibus from an Ollie's a couple hours from me.

Re: Ollie's Bargain Outlet

I scored Uncanny x-men Omnibus 4, X-men Claremont/Jim Lee Omnibus volume 2, She Hulk Byrne Omnibus and Amazing Spider-Man omnibus 2 and a Snyder Batman Volume 9.

I left a Deadpool & Co. Omnibus, New Warriors Omnibus, Spider-man Roger Stern Omnibus and a ripped cover Wolverine Omnibus.

It was everyone else's hauls that drove me to the outlier Ollie's that I go to 1 hour and 10 minutes away. Thanks!

Re: Ollie's Bargain Outlet

Oh man, I would love to come across a She-Hulk Byrne Omnibus. I have a Marvel Universe by John Byrne Omnibus (note: not in this wave from what I see) if anyone wants to pull off a trade.
