I think I remember reading the first issue of Nailbiter and liking it. Does anyone here read those two series?

Didn't we get the first Nailbiter trade in one of the Image Humble Bundles? Maybe I'm just misremembering.

That 6 page Hack/Slash Holiday Special should have remained fre, $0.99 seems high for the sparse content.

Nailbiter volume 1 (issues 1-5) was in the second Image Humble Bundle.

The Comixology page announcing the FB code doesn't seem active anymore but it initially indicated through 5/31/15; seemingly that is still the case... http://forum.dvdtalk.com/12365641-post1410.html

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

A couple new French language books in the sale section at Comixology.

A new freebie at Dark Horse looks cool, a 78 page sampler including a couple full issues; Brain Wood Builds Characters. Remember that you actually have to load/'read' it to be added to your library.

Ok, so I had somehow never heard about Humble Bundle before this week. How often do they do comic deals?

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

If they stay true to form, they do a new book bundle every two weeks. Whether it's comics or not is a crapshoot. The comic bundles have been pretty damn fantastic in the past, though. I kicked in a buck for the base tier as I've already got a huge backlog and I'm not the biggest TF fan in the world.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Yeah, I think they've done about 8 comic bundles so far, all in the last year iirc. Incredible values, as long as you remember what you have and don't buy it again on Comixology or Dark Horse....

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

That TF humble bundle is fantastic if you like Transformers at all. It basically collects from the start of the two ongoing series:
More than Meets the Eye: Rodimus, Ultra Magnus, and the gang go off into space to search for the mythical Knights of Cybertron. Great characterization.

Robots in Disguise: Bumblebee, Prowl, and more of the G1 robots stay on Cybertron, where the Decepticons have disbanded, and Bumblebee and Starscream face off for political control.

I already have the majority of this in comixology but am thinking about double dipping... which is crazy, because I think IDW lets you download these from comixology anyway.

I think it's about 85 issues total, and last I saw max price was about $14. So as long as you 'need' at least 14 of them you at least break even versus Comixology sales. That is, if you remember to not buy them again....
