Yup, I won't say anything more. Except that man I bought a lot of stuff from DH over the years.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

I can foresee DSTLRY customers getting screwed over in the near future when they inevitably go under.

They also have their own digital store, but with the added feature that digital sales are limited to a small window of availability, and when DSTLRY stops selling the issues, they have a "marketplace" where people who bought the digital comics can then resell them -- presumably at a profit -- to another reader/collector on the digital marketplace. Which sort of turns their digital comic books into NFTs.

Thanks mostly to stacking Dark Horse Digital sales like Black Friday and such, I ‘own’ most of the Dark Horse library. Probably my favorite publisher overall.

This sucks. I don’t really have a computer, and would probably need 100 iPads if I wanted to download everything. Crap.

Is cloud storage a possible solution?

Reminder to anyone who bought anything thru Dark Horse Digital that today is the last day to download your purchases. They are closing the service and you may have no access to your purchases after today.

I bought two hard copies of Godzilla vs. Fantastic Four (the standard cover, plus a variant by Peach Momoko), so I have an extra digital code (if anyone else here has a Marvel Unlimited and is interested). PM me if you're interested.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

I think I might be done with physical books. They are getting too expensive. Hell, even Todd raised Spawn to $3.99
I know it's only a dollar and he's been the cheapest for a while, but the other books are on average $5/book and up. No more content than usual and when a book has 4-5 ad pages....nah I'm out.
Some titles that I was paying $3.99 for are now $5.99. I moved over to indi books because the big two were charging more for same page count and shit stories.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Anyone know of a good app or site that lists where you can find digital comics to read, whether to buy or subscribe? Like if you want to read a certain issue or graphic novel, kind of like "Just Watch" for streaming movies & TV shows?

I obviously know about Marvel Unlimited and DC Universe, but they can be missing lots of different series or skip various issues. And that doesn't even get into all the indie comics or lesser-known comics companies that have been out there for 80 years.

Like, you can read a lot of different comics with an Amazon comixology sub or with a library card for the app Hoopla but is there a place where you can type in the name of a comic and it spits out where you can find it digitally? I did some searching but couldn't really find anything like what I am describing.

^Fantastic. Thank you! This is even more than I thought it would be as it seems to actually have the comics right there as well. Nice!

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Went to the shop yesterday and I think I maybe take a step back

1X -Nice House by the Sea #5 (Of 12) Cover A Alvaro Martinez Bueno (Mature)
$3.99

1X -Nice House by the Sea #6 (Of 12) Cover A Alvaro Martinez Bueno (Mature)
$3.99

1X -Spawn #360 Cover A Carlo Barberi
$2.99

1X -Spawn #363 Cover A Bjorn Barends
$2.99

Sub total $13.96
Sales tax $1.08
Total $15.04
$15 for 4 titles is crazy. And seeing all the $6^ books is just wild.

Now I'm curious where these codes come from and if there's a reason mustMay25 and others don't work. Like what did I miss out on?
