I want to see these people re-establish a society into a Republic type government system where they elect representatives who then gather as a tribunal to make the "big picture" decisions for the group. You know... like the Phantom Menace.

It was still a shock to me I think everyone knew that a major character was going to die in this issue, the big question was who and how it was going to happen so watching it unfold was still a good read, in my opinion.
I just want to see if the story can be taken somewhere else other then seeing one group of villains after another. That's the part that's "boring" me a bit.

Sorry, haven't been in this thread in a while, but have the writers said at all how far they want to take the comic?

Walking Dead #100 sells >380,000 copies.

Has an indie comic ever sold that many copies before? Even the top ten DC and Marvel do good just to break 100,000.

Re: The Walking Dead (and other zombie discussion)
The Darkness #11 was the last book to do similar numbers, and that was all the way back in 1997, again due to the obnoxious number of alternate covers. Plus, I mean, the first Image books in the early '90s were moving millions of copies.

It's funny how only a few years ago Kirkman was saying Bendis could buy and sell him, and now he has what's guaranteed to be the #1 selling issue of the year.

Just bought the digital series during Comixology's sale and am loving it. Much better than the mediocre TV adaptation so far. I think this series will be the tipping point to get me fully back into comics.

Do you mean that in a good way or a bad way? I've heard stories from several professionals (firsthand, not through the rumor mill) that tend to support the "bad" side of things.
I loved the earlier issues of The Walking Dead, but I'm not even a little bit of a fan of Charlie Adlard's art (I'll never get over the loss of Tony Moore there, no matter how many years it's been), The Governor is one of the most jaw-droppingly absurd characters in the history of anything, ever, the patterns the book falls into became a little more tiresome with each successive arc, and the more I read, the more I realized that Kirkman has no grasp on dialogue whatsoever. I liked Invincible a lot too, but it got so joyless and Infinite-Crisis-dismemberment-and-barrel-drums-of-blood-ish that I completely lost interest.

You can go back and read my old posts on this board so you can see I'm not just some "hater." I loved the first 50 issues or so. But the book doesn't maintain the same quality throughout its run as in the first half. 100 issues in, and I'm kinda bored.

Did anyone get this? Seems to be some controversy about it.

I had a feeling Rick might submit for the time being, but didn't expect him to send Jesus on some recon mission. This is going to be exciting.

There's no way he can take on the Saviors now, so it's a good strategic move for him to lie low and try to get some recon done while Negan stops seeing him as a threat.
I wonder if Rick won't get all of the groups that Negan is extorting from to unite against him.
