^ I didn't care for Flash too much. Completely agree on Astonishing. I wish Joss could write a few more titles a month.

Forget Superman Returns! I'm getting in line right now for Spider-Man 3. I'll admit that I've had my doubts about the third installment because it sounds like it could suffer from villian overload, but that teaser has me salivating. Can't wait!

I'm in agreement on both counts.

Never been much of an X-Man fan, but I started picking this title up because of John Cassady. It started off well, but I felt that it started to drag after a while. This issue, however, was the best thing I read this week.

The Flash was mediocre, at best. I'll give it a bit of time because he's my favorite hero and I'm giving a bit of of a grace period since Geoff Johns' run on the book is a hard act to follow. Perhaps the writers will come into their own after the whole OYL thing is over, but there's no denying that this issue was a big disaapointment for me and that the character of Griff is extremely annoying.

Hell yeah. Sandman. Gwen Stacy. Venom. I'm all over this one.

Do these TPBs really have identical artwork? Or is there bad info here?

Superman/Batman #27: a completely out of left field cliffhanger ending that continues in a different book without being a crossover? There's something you don't see every day.

No sir, I don't like it.

I think Amazon just has the wrong artwork up for the Clone Wars volume. Going directly to the source shows the correct cover:

Thanks, I figured that was the case because I've seen a physical copy of Honor and Duty, but the fact that the Clone Wars cover actually said "volume 9 Endgame" threw me off. Maybe it was Dark Horse's advance placeholder.

Yeah, but that sure was a purty cover.

I too was confused by Superman/Batman. I guess we're back to all that pre-crisis nonsense.

After waiting 8 months for the other half of the story, Invincible was a letdown.
Spoiler:
I thought he would be traveling to all these different comic universes over the course of a year or something.

Is the listing of all the ones covered online anywhere? Obviously, we have DC, Marvel, and Walking Dead.

After paging through the new Previews, it's going to be an expensive month.

This was a very slow week for me. Only picked up 52 Week 8. This week not much happened.
Spoiler:
Ralph did some more investigation into the Cult of Conner, Steel's body is slowly transforming into stainless steel courtesty of Lex Luthor, and Steel's niece Natasha is getting the metagene treatment from Lex as well. Nothing from Black Adam, Renee Montoya, or the Question this week, but a cameo from Clark Kent and a brief appearance by Booster Gold.

Chew, I ask you this - when don't you have an expensive month?

True

Actually, it's pretty much always right around $90-$100. But there's several trades that interest me, especially the Absolute New Frontier. That's probably half the typical budget right there!

$153!

$41 on New Frontier had plenty to do with that....
