Both ‘Paramount Scares’ 4K Volumes 1 and 2 are $47.39 each at the time of this writing
Vol 1 was slightly cheaper (by $5) on the bay a couple weeks ago but you had to purchase two titles

Amazon also has Titans: Season 4 (DC Comics show which aired on their aborted streaming service before going to HBO MAX) for $9.49. Cheapest it's ever been. The series only ran 4 seasons.

Tough sell for me as I find the sets quantity over quality - only need about 4 titles b/w the two sets. No mood to take a chance pawning the ones I don’t want

Amazon copycat sale.
Get 3 for the price of 2
There are a few good deals in there, good luck finding them.
check slick deals and blu.com for new deals Some just have price drops + are part of the sale.but do your own search
Apollo 13 (4K UHD + Blu-ray + Digital) $11 has 3.66 coupon. Not part of the 3/2 sale and will probably be dead before the day ends. that's Amazon

Total of $55.60 after tax
Spurlock, J. David
Total of $77.03 after tax
Total of $42.09 after tax

The only way I’ve made this work for me in recent times is by just clicking on random (or related) items of interest in the ‘saved for later’ section of my Amazon cart. If I’ve saved them there, it’s stuff I want. If I see the sale tag, I move them to the cart and then sort through them to see if there’s a decent deal to be made. Nothing at Amazon this time but I did get six books at Target. Thankfully they were part of a series so a search of the banner title brought up all the available titles. Didn’t even bother hunting through the “sale” listings at either site. Even from the very first 3-for-2 sale it never felt like I was seeing everything available thanks to all the repetition as I scrolled. Weird.

Re: Amazon: Blu-ray discounts and deals mega-thread
Amazon only mirrors 3-for-2 items that are in stock over on Target's site, so even if you want to buy off Amazon it's easier finding your items on Target when hunting for 3 items. What's strange is Amazon though only matches a narrow range from Target's more expansive sale list, so it's a chore finding 3 on Amazon that are all close in price you want.
I find it much easier looking for 3 items if I mix and match different categories beyond mere movies, like CDs and books as well.

I do not consider Amazon to be a functional company, though they are a profitable one. I'm on their consumer product review team, so I see some things that the public does not, & it amazes me that they are still in business.

Because of the cash cow that AWS is. Split the retail business and the cloud business and the former will be bankrupt in no time. The retail arm is a volume business for them and very unprofitable at that, the marketplace is another arm that sustains the retail biz

You ain’t kiddin’ about AWS. I just read an article a few days ago about Canada is needing a better system for storing and sharing intelligence with our international partners in the ‘Five Eyes’ intelligence alliance, three of whom – the U.S., U.K. and Australia – have been utilizing just such a service for storing and sharing defense and intelligence data, hosted by . . . yup, Amazon Web Services.
https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.7341555
Not sure how I feel about that, but I’m also not a tech nerd so I have to trust these governments know what they’re doing, and that ours will too if it finally joins this modern world. But yeah, suddenly all the crap we buy direct from Amazon kinda pales in comparison, though I’m betting certainly not the insanely large volume of legit and suspect goods that flow through the Amazon Marketplaces with tidy commissions, including an alarmingly high amount of it sold and shipped from China and (previously) Russia.
And as a casual, private seller on the Marketplace myself who has never used ‘fulfillment by Amazon’ because of the Byzantine rules and usurious fees, I can say from reading the ‘seller forums’ there over the past year or two that doing so as a ‘business’ must be an absolute nightmare, especially when Amazon always sides with and refunds customers in every single case, especially via their super-outdated ‘A-Z Guarantee’ policy which has led to a staggering amount of fraud being committed by both savvy regular customers and well-organized gangs of thieves who game the system and get everything they order for free with just a few clicks.
It’s really quite a shit show, but as noted, AWS is clearly where the money’s at.

Australia has since gone on to sign a contract worth almost $1.9 billion Cdn with Amazon Web Services (AWS) — a subsidiary of the U.S. tech giant Amazon — to host Australia's defence, security and intelligence data.
The United Kingdom established its secret cloud in 2021, also with AWS. The Pentagon and the U.S. intelligence community use both AWS and Microsoft for their high-security cloud system.

There's a reason why Amazon moved their entire corporate headquarters across the country about 4 miles away from CIA headquarters in Langley, Va and a few more miles from the Pentagon. They didn't move for the weather.

I know a lot of you likely don't buy TV on BD anymore since streaming is more easier. But, The CW's Arrow, the 8th and final season is only $7.99 with a coupon
Only thing to keep in mind, it was a 10 episode season.
That's the lowest price it's ever been if you want to finish your Arrow collection. I was waiting for something that low, so I got it.
Now I need The Flash to get cheaper as well.

Noticed a few Halloween drops. Nothing new, but maybe some padding to get free shipping. There are probably others as well.
Universal 8-film Hammer Collection set at $12.99:
(This doesn't contain any extras as I recall from mine, but it's a nice 'overview' set of Universal's offerings from the studio)
Hitchcock 5 Film 4K Set - $34.49
Universal Monsters 4-Film 4K Sets - $32.49
Halloween Trilogy Collection (new films) - $34.99
Blu-ray version - $29.99
Elm Street 7 Movie Collection (Blu-ray) - $19.49
Final Destination 5 Movie Collection - $14.99
Conjuring Universe 7-Movie Collection - $15.99
Phantasm 5-Movie Collection - $22.99 (this one is also part of the 'Buy 3 For 2' sale)
Chucky 7-Movie Collection - $23.99

Re: Amazon: Blu-ray discounts and deals mega-thread
Their search isn't even functional. You enter a search for a specific title, and it throws you a bunch of recommendations, counterfeit marketplace items, and foreign editions. You can maybe find the exact item you're looking for by clicking on one of the foreign items and finding it in the list of other editions, or click through enough pages of search results until you find what you were searching for appears.
The best way to find a specific item on Amazon is to google the item, find the ISBN or UPC number, and then search for that on Amazon. But that's just a completely ass-backwards way of searching for something at a retail site that it boggles the mind.
And don't even get me started on their shitty packaging that turns every purchase into a crapshoot. (And even if your purchase isn't damaged during shipping, they'll also send out worn and damaged items.)

What I love about Amazon's search is when you type in the item's exact name and you know it's listed on Amazon, but the search results say nothing found. Then they list a bunch of unrelated items in completely different categories.

I wish they had a huge set of the Hammer films that was all encompassing similar to the 30 film Universal Monsters Blu-ray set.

I have thought about getting that Hammer set and the other larger one several times, but I just know that if I do, they will either release a big set with everything or they will start releasing them in 4K.
