Perhaps worth mentioning that both PF and ACFW are "add-on items," meaning they can only be ordered if your order total is $25 and up. Sicario is a regular item.
Ah, thanks for that. I went for Sicario since I only have the digital version and at that price, no-brainer. I already had the other two in my collection, so didn't notice the add-on part. |

Isn't $4 the BF price for Pulp Fiction? Sicario is a good deal/

I got in on Sicario before it turned into an add -on.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
Annihilation has dropped to $9.99.

Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
For Star Trek fans Enterprise: The Complete Second Season is at $11.73 (through a third party seller but fulfilled by Amazon). I ordered it and already own season one. Just waiting for the third and fourth to drop.

^Or just get the entire series from Amazon UK for ~$58 US shipped. It's region free.

Closer to $48 once the VAT is removed. Seems like it was under $40 at some point.
And it was. I purchased it when it was close to that lower price point. Before shipping it was ~$41. I had several items on that order to spread out shipping so it wound up being ~$43 shipped. I'm not at all bothered by the R2 packaging. IMHO it's actually a bit better than the US packaging. The episodes look identical when played. |

You like the "fat" R2 blu-ray cases?

Well, to be fair, the complete collection just has one of those EPIK Paks just like the US Complete Sets did. I like the extra $40 more than I dislike the Epik Pak and it do like the Outer Box. The box is big enough that if I wanted, I could easily swtich to 4 multidisc cases and print some custom art. I actually considered that for TNG except I found the Epic cases perfectly functional.
Or you could get (or could have gotten) the German sets with 4 individual cases is a normal sized Vertical Bluray slipcase. While I prefer multi-page/disc VIVA cases I actually like the "EPIK Pak" cases far better than "books with slots in the page for discs" or digi-paks. I want simple, protective, convenient packaging that takes up as little shelf space as possible. Those EPIK Paks fit the bill very well. If I could find a source I'd purchase them for quite a few series I own that eat up far too much shelf space due to poor packaging. |
Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
Personally I can't stand those Epik Pack bricks and will avoid purchasing another set with them whenever possible. IMO the best Trek full season blu-ray packaging is what they do in Australia:
http://trekcore.com/blog/wp-content/..._australia.jpg But those are never the sets that get super cheap. Personally I was just very patient and waited until I found somebody on ebay with all the individual season sets (with slipcovers) that was looking to unload them. I was able to pick up each full series that way for just a little more than these European Epik pak sets. |
Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
Just received my copy Enterprise: The Complete Second Season. Unfortunately it doesn’t have a slipcover (all my other Trek seasons have them).

Why are 2 seasons M and the rest PG?

All that from deduction and speculation. I am now actually wondering why as well. |
Re: Amazon discounts and deals on Blu-ray
I'm such a ST nerd for knowing, but probably because Season 1 ends with the violent scene where Picard and Riker phaser the bad guy to a skeleton and you see some pretty gory effects, including the guy's spine.
In Season 6, Picard is captured and tortured by the Cardassians. |

For those few who might be interested, Blood Diner (Vestron Video Collector's Series) is currently $12.20. It's through a third-party vendor, but fulfilled by Amazon, which makes it Prime eligible.
