I'm under the impression that it just didn't sell very well at Arrow's original price point. There's a good bit of grumbling over there regarding those who paid full price when it originally came out.

Anything is possible I suppose, but that wouldn't explain why Amazon US and other sites haven't followed suit. I think if Arrow really wanted to blow them out due to poor sales then Amazon CA is an interesting choice on where to dump them. Another interesting thing is when David Hess was still alive he sold the soundtrack CD by itself from his official site for $20.95 and couldn't keep them in stock from selling so many. Although it's been released on CD a few times since then and also there was a vinyl release, and now this LE. Perhaps the market in now truly saturated, or perhaps our neighbors to the north are just smoking too much BC bud! ;)

Amazon's Canadian site has the Last House on the Left 3 disc Limited Edition set for $7.99 CAD right now. It has to be some kind of mistake, but according to some folks at Blu ray dot com who have ordered and received them it has been confirmed to be the 3 disc LE (2 Blu-rays, 1 CD, booklet, poster, slipcase, etc).

Here's the link:

https://www.amazon.ca/Last-House-Lef...oding=UTF8&me=

If a much higher price is shown, make sure to click just below that, it should say "New from $x.xx". Get your order in before someone wakes up.

It's not an error. This has been discussed quite heavily in the "International Blu-ray deals" thread for well over a week now. ;) It was first brought up when someone nabbed it around the $12 mark, and it's been falling ever since. I picked up three (the limit) when it got down to $9-ish, and once that shipped and continued to drop, I picked up another three at just over $8 a few days ago. Regardless of the price, in this range it's worth shipping even to the U.S., and since there's a finite supply of these, it will inevitably return to grossly inflated Canadian pricing at some point.

It was actually down to $7.80 last night.

Regarding the possible "dump" on Amazon Canada, this isn't the first of its kind. Folks including myself used to post Amazon Canada deals here, with some often bordering on clear-out pricing, as well as some "label sales" that I assume were test-marketed here first (like the very first KL Studio Classics sale years ago) but posting kinda fell by the wayside, especially as you literally have to stumble across stuff like this anymore.

Oh, and other than the usual conservative blue-hairs up here, we're quite proud that we're about to be able to legally smoke up whenever we please, within reason of course. I'll never bother, but my investment portfolio has been doing exceptionally well. :)

^ahh, thanks for that info!

Boy, it really is a kick in the nads for those (like myself) who paid over $30 just recently. Kinda similarly to when I buy an Arrow title and within a month it's on Amazon Prime for free streaming.

I guess I'm really gonna have to more carefully consider my Arrow purchases before pulling the trigger from now on.

OTOH, it could have been a runaway hit a la 'Re-animator' or 'Bird with the Crystal Plumage' style and be fetching obscene collector prices. You can never tell supply and demand. I know, I know...its misplaced optimism overcompensating for my own remorse but..

Almost certain this is a pricing error. I have a lot of Arrow releases myself but I don't think this is going to be common with their releases.

Could be, but it's been an error for nearly a month and plenty of people have been ordering since it dropped below 15. It's been below $12 for over 2 weeks and below $10 for over a week and it keeps falling.

Every time it goes Prime Only like it was briefly either yesterday or the day before and again over the last hour or so I think it's about to sell out finally.
It's about the 4th time it's dropped to Prime Only in the last 10 days.

So the Canadian site says that I have to join PRIME since it's now an exclusive.

For now, but the last few times it switched, it only lasted a few hours or overnight. Of course you could do the trial and cancel if you want.
Somewhat more unusual, it's been 7.99 for almost 6 hrs which is the first time isn several weeks I remember a x.99 price and the longest time without it
changing prices.

I ordered one for just under 15 bucks, including shipping. Much better than the 30 plus from our local Amazon rodeo.

Carnival Of Souls may be the best "B-pic" in history.

Amazon currently has Sacrifice! (aka Man from Deep River), the film that kicked off the Italian cannibal movie sub-genre, at $6.90. It won't ship for several weeks, however:

Thanks, I've been on the fence for a while on that one, the price is now right!

Also, just so there's no confusion as to the film's title, it's "Sacrifice!" aka Man From Deep River. :D

Lucifer Season 3 from Warner Archive is $25.15 less 35 cents at checkout.

Wow! Thanks for pointing that out--I had a senior moment, apparently. I think the exclamation point threw me off and had me thinking about the "plane crash in the Andes, soccer team resorts to cannibalism" movie. Ay yi yi. I'll edit my original post now.

And while we're here, Amazon has Mario Bava's Black Sunday, in its American International cut, available for $6.51, and Dracula Has Risen from the Grave for $6.99:
