Upgrade no, most people prefer the original. If you have the OOP 1st release there isn't a reason to bother. If you don't have the first release then the new release is you only real choice though I've not looked at the scalper prices since the new box came out, but the last I looked people were still trying to sell for $200-300. I just looked and I'm not seeing any sets that have sold for less than $60-70 Same exact discs with a new disc art to show Paramount. Different Case -- 1 Megacase instead of 5 ind season cases This is the one that's $40 all over ebay. The bluray boxset is a substantial improvement over both of teh DVD sets though I think the Def Box does have one or tww extras the Bluray boxes don't The PQ on the BD box is astounding and has all the extras missing from the 25 DVD boxset. The original BD set and 2016 BD box are identical and I think are better than either of the DVD sets |

Actually, this has been one of the strangest sales in recent memory. Prices have been shifting rapidly up and down. Ben-Hur was $10 on Amazon for a couple of hours (I assume matching Target) then rose to $27. Good luck figuring it out.

Note: A friend of mine bought the same LIS set from Amazon for about $58 around Christmas. He asked me the other day about pricing on "John Wick" after seeing a trailer for the sequel. Off the top of my head, I seem to recall it being under $8 (at least) around Christmas (I paid $7 or $8 shortly after it came out). I just checked Amazon and Best Buy and it's $14.99, which seems ridiculous (unless it comes with Movie Money or something). |

It is 14.99 at BBY online and instore. Target I'm 95% sure it's $10 in store, but not online so Amazon pretends it doesn't exist. I saw a bunch of $10 items at Target a couple hours ago and I'm fairly sure the Mag 7 (2016) BD was among them. |
