Maybe someday delivery companies will pay more than slave wages to the people who actually do the work...until then, I'm more than happy to give them Sunday off (and it wouldn't bother me to give them Saturday as well!). Sadly, with Amazon's initiatives, I feel Viper will be getting what he wants...just hope he (and others) remember to be courteous to their delivery drivers throughout the year and give them something special over the holidays! --Peter

I agree. I would take slow delivery for most items with the digital credit but not the pantry. It has to cost Amazon more than the $1 credit to get it to me in two days.

Hannibal Season 3 for $6.99 (Backordered). Seemed like a good deal for me (I already had S1 & S2 so I couldn't partake in the good deal on the Complete Series set)

Seems like a good deal for me as well! I also already own the first two seasons, so this is a great way for me to add the final season to my collection.

Same here. You would think that they would check against your shipping zip code to see whether PrimeNow is even offered where you are. I can't get it, thus can't use the codes. Pretty mindless.

I doubt if they reprinting the artbook, which is the limited Amazon release. A rather great deal for anyone wanting to get the artbook, which is the amazon exclusive.

Or ... did they deliver it incorrectly to a neighbor ... who then put it in your mailbox ...

Halloween: The Complete Collection (Limited Deluxe Edition) [Blu-ray] for...$95.99

Because I care. Temporarily Sold Out it says, but will ship when available. Might be a Criterion situation that some of us remember a while back, but I think these are still floating around and will ship.

They also have 2 used ones for $75 each. To save $20, that might be worth it.

They delivered it correctly. When you check delivery status they always say
delivered at front door. But they can't even get on our property because there is a big rod iron fence around it. So they usually pop the horn & if we do not come out on time they leave it by the front gate on the driveway or grass. I guess they decided last night was so late they decided to put it in the mail box. Although if someone watched them deliver the package they could of taken them out of the mail box. Last time I checked outside was about 9pm. I figured they just delivered them tomorrow.

Amazon finally stopped putting my stuff in the mailbox after I complained 4 times. This was their own delivery people though.

UPS also has no business putting anything in your mailbox. Just so you know, if your mailman finds something in the mailbox without any postage, they can take it and charge you postage. You may want to complaint to amazon about this.

That's nuts! If the USPS never handled the package they feel entitled to charge me postage because it was put in a receptacle that I paid for and installed myself? Screw that.

It's actually illegal for anyone other than USPS to put anything in your mailbox.

You can leave mail in your mailbox for the carrier to pick up (it's what those little red flags are for), so if they find something in your mailbox they can probably assume that it's there for them to pick up and mail, and once it goes into the system it will be returned to you postage due.

But, yeah, it's also illegal for anyone but the USPS to leave stuff in your mailbox. Any UPS for FedEx carrier should know this.

Indeed:

http://www.wpxi.com/news/usps-remove...lace/467831188

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. - A Cranberry man was shocked when he was told his Amazon Prime package had been delivered to his home, but that his postal carrier had removed it and taken it to the post office, leaving him a bill.

"I checked the mailbox and found an envelope from the U.S. Post Office saying I owe $3.78," said Scott Puhac.

Puhac had received an email from Amazon, saying his package was delivered, but instead of putting it on the front step of his home, the Amazon delivery driver had placed it in the mailbox.

What Puhac didn't know was that's illegal. The U.S. Postal Service's Domestic Mail Manual said it's illegal to put any "mailable matter" into a mailbox without postage. That's why the postal carrier who found it left a bill for the postage in the mailbox.

A statement from the U.S. Postal Service said, "In this case, the letter carrier properly followed existing guidelines governing how to handle such mail matter."

Amazon offered a statement about the situation, saying, "We will continue to work with our carrier partners to ensure the best service experience for customers."

Puhac went to the post office to claim his package, and Amazon reimbursed him the $3.78 he was charged for postage.
But just to calm the fears of others, USPS says marijuana and cocaine packages will still be delivered on schedule and without interference.
