Is this Amazon's alternative to the USPS? My copy looked re-packaged, the discs had finger prints along the edges and the UV code it was invalid. When I attempted to exchange the set from their website, there was no option for the same item. They gave me other options based on my buying habits, an Amazon gift card or a refund. I have better luck with the marketplace sellers than Amazon itself. I don't get the popularity of that company. Good grief. I went ahead and canceled everything I ordered from them on Black Friday. It's just not worth the aggravation. Never again.

Marketplace sellers mostly fuck me over lately. I ordered a gaming headset for $90 that was supposed to be brand new and sealed. Open the box and zip ties fall out. It was a used/opened item. I've ordered more from foreign Amazon sites and Best Buy this week than Amazon, so we'll see how they fair.

I also found it interesting that a marketplace seller on the US site had a better deal on the UK release of Transformers Dark of the Moon than any prices I saw for the US release.

So much bitching and moaning in this thread.

I ordered a bunch of cheap ass blu rays this week and they were delivered in 1-2 days. Could I have saved a few dollars by driving somewhere? Sure. Instead, I spent time with my family. For my money and time you still can't beat Amazon.

I guess you are one lucky fella, 'cause the complaints about Amazon seem to out-number the compliments lately. They source from questionable vendors and often sell cut-outs, returned/repackaged goods as "new" items. I've received better quality of goods and services from other retailers and saved far more dough in the process. They sell second hand goods just like Ebay via multiple sources and the quality is always a crapshoot. At this point, rewarding them is just plain stupid. I predict Amazon and Walmart will suffer in the years ahead. Eventually these beasts perish under the weight of their bloated size and indifference towards the consumer. You like 'em? You can keep 'em. I think they suck. :johnwoo2: AMAZON :yack:

Don't forget the fact that they've been incapable of fulfilling pre-ordered for many blu-rays on time this year. Banshee season 4 and Hell on Wheels final season were excessively delayed in being shipped. I've heard of others too.

If it's not too late to cancel, it's $4 from Best Buy.

^Best Buy version doesn't include a digital copy and isn't a combo pack, FYI.

John Wick [Blu-ray + DVD + Digital HD] $5.99 (Not as low as the $5 it hit briefly a year ago but still a decent deal.)

Exactly...I wanted the digital copy too. Worth the extra $2 for me. Plus, you know, slipcover. ;)

I must be OLD; I see no purpose in "digital copies". If I really needed one for some odd reason; I can rip the dvd to whatever format I choose......... My eyes are not good enough to watch a film on a 2" phone.

VUDU is my preferred format for Digital copies and I run that off of my PS4 (the APP) and watch it on my home theater, or worst case scenario, if I'm traveling, on m y laptop.

Same here. I wish I had the HDD space to rip my whole collection, but I'd probably need 50TB or more. I also can't stand goofy packaging. I want standard cases and get pissed when there's no option to get them. I actually ordered House of Cards season 4 from Italy because they have a keepcase release. The digibook type releases of HoC in the US are the worst I've ever seen. I was ripping the cardboard to get the discs out when I grabbed them on sale last year.

Maybe I'm lucky, but I would guess most people that deal with them fall into that bucket. Of course the bad experiences will get posted here regardless of how rare that happens overall.

Any issue I've ever had with Amazon has been corrected quickly and fairly.

Same here...digital gives me an option if I'm not at home, don't want to dig through my collection looking for the disc, and/or sell the disc at a later date. I also share my Vudu account with a few people, so it gives them a new movie to watch.
