Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

According to various rumblings on the Web, there's a new drop scheduled for next Friday, June 12th. Some stores may put them out earlier; some may put them out later.

You may want to start checking in the next few days.

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

Local store had two new brown long boxes out this week in the electronics aisle. Surprisingly about 50/50 DVD's and Blu's. Most of the same titles I recall from the last shipment: I recall seeing the BluRays of Stargate Atlantis Fan's Choice and The Good The Bad And The Ugly + the DVD set of the 4 Magnificent Seven Movies..
I only ended up buying the DVD of Billionaire Boys Club (which I'd never seen at DT before) because I don't believe that film has had a Reg.A Blu release, and it was a no-brainer for $1.

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

I went to three stores, and only one had anything. They had a little of everything, DVDs, Blurays, PS4 and Xbox games. weird. I hit up that one store twice. I mostly bought junk dvds, but as far as Blurays go they had Bad Milo, The Judge, The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, but I already own them. They had more Blurays than that but I'm blanking out.

That DVD set for Magnificent Seven has a digital code that redeems all 4 movies on Vudu in HDX.

I went to a couple stores last night and found nothing. I went back today and found quite a bit. Not really one studio here, found a mix of mostly Magnet, Magnolia, and Universal blu-ray titles. Found a bunch of TV seasons on DVD, and the first PS4 (Middle Earth Shadows of Mordor, Shadows of War), Xbox One (Scribblenauts) Video Games I've seen at DT.

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

Just wanted to post this so other collectors can see this. I understand it's not illegal, but I, for one, find this a little immoral. This is abhorrent GREED in my personal opinion!

Every time Dollar Tree has a new wave of movies come out, it's getting more and more difficult to ever find anything. In talking to a few DT employees I know, they've told me that resellers are calling them every day until they put out new movies and then are coming in and wiping out their stores. They then turn around and resell them for 10 times more on eBay. I realize people are going to resell things, but if people are buying up everything, there is little chance for actual collectors who are spending their time, effort and gasoline to drive around their cities/towns hunting for movies to find anything.

I contacted this guy about it and he was so arrogant, he said "I usually mark my DVDs up 20 times more so I'll do better next time with the blurays." I feel like we need to let people like this know it's not right. He clearly just tries to get rich off DT and doesn't even care about the movies and is rude to other DT customers.

I know most probably won't care, but please watch his most recent Youtube post. He does this all the time. I've encountered this first hand where I live. Waited patiently to look, with the personal distancing right now, only to watch someone literally empty the entire bin while you stand there watching. Obviously, this guy isn't the only person doing this, which makes it worse all the time. Let him know what you think and don't buy from him!

I'm new on here so I can't post the link yet, but go to YouTube and search for EBAY ADDICTS and watch his video from a couple days ago please.

Thanks Dollar Tree hunters

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

I understand what u mean. i go to one store close by so not waste taking bus to others to score any good stuff. and i only take 1 copy even if there may be more of same but i really not need another unless was reseller or get for anyone who can go any. sometimes i may get kid stuff to share or pass to fam kids later but i dont feel i gotta grab every copy of same movie at the time. i saw a video people showed 2 of one as to one to keep and one resell which i can see that but to really take all x amount of copies of 1 movie if so many of same and then just resell for twice the vale is greed. others may not care while some may feel the same way. i lucky i can score any i real want for any reason and go back for more maybe later. stores i can see not care cause it a sell . they get stuff in and some or many clean them out unless there was a reason they gotta limit any. as u say some or many call if any new movies come in and i think to do but i just ask when i there so have some idea when get new in besides read posts on here or utube by chance. since i have so many watched and not watched, i dont feel i gotta pester the store for media anytime. it just as bad for those who grab any hot wheels at stores so no one can get a th car anytime by chance. so i learn from what i read and told , so i not be seen as one who just want for self and take 5 copy of same, 1 is enough. i no fan of resellers who take all for greed, but not all do that and actually show how to make some extra the right way and why u gotta charge so much to cover cost but not so much u price the traffic. so i happy i can score what i can , but i do not tale all copies of any movie unless i forget i have but just take 1 even if there are like 5 copies.

This is a huge problem at most Dollar Tree locations. The management should be prohibited from giving resellers advance notice of when they're putting BluRay/DVD shipments on the shelves. The stores might also be wise to limit the amount of these that can be purchased to 3 or 4 titles at a time (hell - they do it with cleaning supplies and paper products now!).

Resellers are always problems when demand still exists for product dumped at pennies on the dollar.

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

There's always going to be crass re-sellers when there's a buck or two to be made. Given the majority of lame titles that pop-up at Dollar Tree, I can't really see them being sold for much of a profit once you subtract shipping, eBay and Paypal fees plus the cost of running around from store to store.

It's too bad this takes the enjoyment away from the casual buyer who just wants to pick-up a few titles for their collection.

I see the same thing at thrift stores where a guy sits his ass right in front of the media section and checks the eBay price of every title on their phone. They pop-out the disc from every case and meticulously examine every one. A hour later they walk-out with one title. The "time is money" concept is completely lost on some people.

Re: Dollar Tree BLU Rays!

Seeing picture above, some those i had chance score in past on dvd by chance. i saw the videos posted by the ebay addict and the pain i guess goes to so many stores and he shows like a good 4 stacks on his passenger chair of most blu rays and some doubles or more. saw coments from others of him taking all blu rays and think random dvd any. even saw he skiped a blu ray i guess he knows wont sell so leave for others by chance. the reseller does not care about the comments as he hoard all poss brs to either keep or just to snag to resell to buyers willing to pay hi price for any movie. i can see there are like so to speak bad resellers and good ones who dont hoard stuff but are selective what they snag any. saw a guy at thrift store had a nice stack and check his cell as he scanned to which any sell for much and put back any he didnt care try sell any. even a buddy mine said he seen resellers stockpile media just to sell and i even seen some fill carts of shoes to sell i guess lol. i feel lucky i have scored any br / dvd combo in past but most times i go for the dvds really and have seen bunch brs at once but if no combo then i just skip any till get player later. they are not to be out till fri but as i read and seen some put the box out sooner for some reason. but guess out early cause the store gets calls and it got picked over ahead of me having chance get there any. since already got any i real want now may recheck friday and see if any new was added by chance and know brs may already be sold by chance. i read some stores get none for any reason while others get some or a lot sometimes. my place get decent amount and as said before i think they get picked over by workers by chance or resellers ahead of time. store i go to workers are cool and all i see and think so they deserve to have first check for dealing with the traffic hassles. it just nice to see some good stuff left over so not all the gold is gone by chance.

Resellers are pure scum. Looked up a video and glad people are trashing him in the comments. I hope they get stuck with excess inventory that they can't sell at any price.

"Nice finds. My local Dollar Tree movie inventory has been dried up for the last month "
-"Probably because the asshole in the video bought them all up to sell them instead of letting people have a chance to pick some up for themselves."

This guy obviously takes great care of his belongings (nice car!). I wonder how many cases he damaged, or floaters he created, by throwing them on the floor? He doesn't realize at least half that stuff is worthless? The games are good for the extra cases (value $1.50-2.00), but EA 17 sports... sorry to break it to ya. He was rude, an idiot, and selfish.

See - that's what I mean. DT shouldn't allow one person to swallow up a whole shipment like that. It's not as though they're gonna be stuck with them - people will buy them when they see them. But let a few customers have a crack at them!
PS - just noticed he even had the audacity to grab multiple copies of some titles. That's about as low as You get.

You know there are many people that think and behave in this manner but it brings it to a disturbing light when they film and upload themselves to proudly display their lack of grace and intelligence for all to witness.
