Thanks, That'sAllFolks. Did you write those down in-store? I was at Target on Monday and "eyeballed" the BD section (my eyeballing is quickly glancing for low price sales tags without looking at the product itself). I didn't see any $5 BDs (well, besides the usual bunch). Are these new ones at all Targets and if so when does the sale end? I hope it doesn't end on Saturday as I wasn't planning on going until at least Sunday.

Though many of these (the Lionsgate ones in particular) have been $5 several times in the past (at Target, Walmart or Amazon), there are some new ones. I might pick up Cider House Rules and Hostage. I already got Bad Santa for $6 at Walmart. 3:10 to Yuma hasn't been below $7 before. I already have or don't want the rest. I was told Highlander 2 is horrible. I got Disaster Movie BD as a blind buy for 99 cents at Blockbuster on Memorial Day and it wasn't even worth a buck. Now if there had been a lot more Kim in it, then it wouldn't have been so worthless, but they killed her off pretty quickly.

Do you know if these were "temporary price drops" or new low prices?

Crap. I was at Target today and didn't bother to look. Would have loved to have picked up 3:10 to Yuma, Bad Santa, Cabin Fever and Swingers.

You can add "The Others" to the $5 list.

Also Highlander Directors Cut. Picked it up along with Highlander 2.

The others has been on that list since scary movie 2 and 3 were spotted at 5 dollars.

Swingers and Rounders for $5? Damn. I'll need to stop by.

While I am guessing rare, I have had an instance where something that stated "new low price" did go back up in price a couple weeks later.

Went to get a few of the $5 titles and saw that 12 Monkeys was $7.99 and picked it up as well.

I did take the time to write them down so I could see what I wanted later. Many of these movies I hadn't seen or were not on my BD upgrade criteria ($3 or 7.5/10 rating) Picked up 3 of them, but with the BB promo and all these titles, I need to buy only the ones I really want.

Most of them had the same tags as the others mentioned before. There may have been a couple that were marked temp. price drop, but I couldn't tell you which ones.

They weren't there because they were mentioned before, but I updated the list to reflect all the ones I could remember.

I called my nearest Target this morning and had them look for a few BD titles in their computer (such as Hostage, Cider House Rules, Rounders and Swingers). The guy said nobody had Hostage in my area, but a store 10+ miles away had a few copies of the other 3. So I called that store who said the other Target was wrong and they didn't have any of those titles either, but a further away store might have some. I gave up at that point as I'm not going to drive that far. Interestingly, both stores said they had the 3:10 to Yuma BD for $5 (which I already have) but couldn't spot any other BDs for $5.

I decided if these titles are so scarce in my area, it must be regional or something, so I guess I won't be finding any of these except by luck. If I had the DCPI numbers, I wonder if I could get rain checks for $5 at a store that doesn't have these?

I hope that these price drops will last long enough that some of my nearer Targets will finally get them in stock. If other people find out more info about this sale and these titles, please post. Target's inventory checker doesn't help as many of these say not sold in stores. This sale seems more like a Big Lots sale where some stores in some areas never get the great titles other people say they are finding.

Target has the ALIEN blu-ray on sale this week for $12.99. If you printed out the $3 off coupon from coupons.com, you can use it here to get Alien BLU for only $9.99 (has theatrical and director's cuts).

Santa Rosa, CA didn't have much of the $5 BD's other than a couple.

They had American Psycho, Stargate and Ninth Gate. The only ones that were out that had spots were 3:10 to Yuma and T2.

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but the first "Scary Movie" has popped up, in addition to "Scary Movie 2" and "Scary Movie 3.5" which have already been $5 for weeks.

Having carefully inspected my Target's movie section and talked to another employee, I can safely say in my area there are none of the elusive Hostage, Cider House Rules, Rounders, Swingers, Brothers Grimm, Cabin Fever, or Last Rites of Ransom Pride BDs... they show NA at most stores and the few that don't are far far away. Either those titles are regional sales or they have not yet arrived in my area (hoping for the latter).

Anyone who spots the above BD titles for $5, perhaps you can post your location too (city/state)?

Regarding the other BDs: 3:10 to Yuma, The Others, Scary Movie 1-3, and Highlander... I've seen those at every Target I've been to over the last few weeks for $5... well, except I think 3:10 to Yuma was a recent price reduction to $5. The rest are old news (even Scary Movie 1). I wonder how long they'll stay at $5... not that it matters because I got them all except Scary Movie 1-2 (for reasons I discussed earlier).

I haven't found any of these new titles yet. For those who found them, are they interspersed through the BD aisle, or on an endcap, or a special display?

Went to FOUR different Targets in the San Fernando Valley (So. Cal.) yesterday and was told at everyone of those said stores that Swingers and Rounders were NOT available in store. They checked their on-hand stock and stock at other stores...nothing. Bummed out.

I know when it was first mentioned in here about "The Others" I checked my local store and there were none to be found despite Targets online tracker saying otherwise. I went back a week later and sure enough they had 2 sitting on the shelf. It wasn't on the regular shelving, but on the side part of the 4 sided shelving they use for new releases.

I am hoping these new titles work out the same way as I would like to pick up Hostage at that price.
