Hmm, well, nothing here yet. Hopefully, this is going to all customers who purchased this item.

EDIT: Just received it. Sweet. Maybe Eric F's e-mail scared them straight.

I just got that email too. I guess they figured since they can't legally cancel orders in certain states (like MA) they might as well charge more for it and try and recoup their losses (PR and whatnot). I'm not sure I want to order from them at the higher price. You're not getting it for $15, read it again. You're still getting charged $25.

Indeed. And I'll use it on Iron Man 2 (again).

Oh, I know. I'm just happy to be getting the gc, since I was kind of on fence about buying it in the first place.

Is it just me or is WalMart still getting your money anyway??? Glad I got the refund instead of the GC. I can use the difference for something else on release day from BB or Target.

Shows the $24.96 when I do it. I guess they fixed their error.

From the letter, no, only if you place a new order. Otherwise you get a free GC (at least it should work that way). The only thing they can charge you for right now is nothing, because they canceled the original orders already.

Yea, I guess that is true. I'm surprised that they have not made any stipulation that the GC has to be used towards "IM2". Since I did not get the e-mail because of getting the difference refunded, please ignore my ignorance.

Re: Iron Man 2 Combo Pack - $15 at Walmart.com

It's kind of odd they are doing this eGift Card thing; wouldn't it have been more cost-effective to just reinstate the $15.00 orders rather than give people a gift card that they can use to buy something else for free and not actually end up spending any money?

They're supposed to. In MA by law they have to honor the original terms of the sale, same price, everything.

That said, is any other national retailer going to sell IM2 for

Re: Iron Man 2 Combo Pack - $15 at Walmart.com

Wow, I just got home and read my email:
"You recently received an email from us that your order of Iron Man 2 (Blu-ray + Standard DVD + Digital Copy) (Widescreen) had been cancelled due to a limited supply issue. The cancellation was due to a pricing error on this item, not a supply issue. We're sorry for the confusion and the inconvenience.

To thank you for your understanding, we will honor the $15 price that was displayed at the time of your purchase. We will email you a $10.73 eGift Card to cover the difference from the current price of $24.96 plus tax. Your eGift card will be emailed within the next 24 hours and can be applied towards the purchase of this item or a different item. We’ll issue one eGift Card per affected customer; this card can be used online at Walmart.com only."
I was ready to just forget about the whole thing, but thanks to all those who complained!

Read it again, it actually depends on if you want to use the E-gift card or not.

Who knows? Maybe their system couldn't support a mass reinstate...

Personally, I only ordered this because it was such an amazing deal; a 3-disc Blu-ray on one of the top releases of the year for $15? Come on. Figured I'd watch it and resell in the secondary market.

Now, I don't want it (not a big fan). Instead, I'll be putting my eGift Card toward a sweet deal on Rocky Horror Picture Show (35th Anniversary digibook).

Changed my mind and decided to stick it to them. I'm just going to buy something that I was planning on buying for $10 anyway and going to TARGET and getting their version. Just like getting $10 off of it in my book. Kinda pisses me off we all had to go though this to begin with and lying to us in emails. Now they decided to cover their asses.

I'll spend it on something else small and get Iron Man later. Wal-Mart still lied to us yesterday and I won't be putting anymore money into their wallets.

There's strength in numbers. Thanks to everyone who took the time to fire off an angry e-mail. We've all benefited.
