I didn't mean it that way. I meant that every title Universal released on HD DVD should automatically be released on Blu-ray without us need to vote for it.

Tried to buy Fletch and the kid wouldn't allow the coupon. I shrugged and said "This is why I buy from Amazon all the time" and walked out.

A list of all Uni blu's that you can look for in store. http://www.nbcuniversalstore.com/?pa...tudios_blu-ray

Wish I could find 12 Monkeys at a local store to use the coupon but no one seems to carry it around here.

Picked up Fletch and Bruce Almighty yesterday for $5 each after coupons.

The Best Buy CSR asked the manager to come check the coupons. Manager took the coupons in the back for about 4-5 minutes then came back and said they were ok. I assume she went to the Veri-sign website to confirm their authenticity? CSR then manually took $5 off of each title.

Here's this week's list, and so far next week's new title is Apollo 13. If there are others, I'll try to post.

Re: Universal facebook five dollar coupon any BD

BB on Geary in San Francisco really pissed me off today. Printed two more coupons from my wife's FB account and tried to use one to get 12 Monkey's for $9.99 but the manager said they dont take Manufactuer Coupons at all. I said the two stores across the bay took them no questions asked and he said each store makes their own policy to accept coupons or not at all. Glad I dont go there often and now never again.

FYI, I used Chrome on mine and my wife's FB accounts to print out two coupons without any trouble.

Now to try and actually use them...

I used three coupons in one transaction yesterday. Picked up "12 Monkeys" and "Children of Men" for $9.99 each, and "Doom" for $4.99.

Did anybody use this at walmart? I just tried and the cashier had problems. she walked away and asked a manager and then came back and told me that they don't take certain manufacturer's coupons and this was one of them.

i bought the BD anyway and plan on going back to use it with CS sometime later.

I haven't yet, but I'm planning to give it a go next week. I'm leaning toward going after either American Gangster or Close Encounters of the Third Kind ($15.00 each, regularly), but I'm going to wait until Tuesday to see if anything else arrives that catches my eye.

Oh, and Walmart employs morons. It had to be said.

Just got back from Best Buy (Lone Tree, CO) and they told me that they dont take "certain" manufacturers coupons...this Universal being one of them...

Damn!

Had my eye on 12 Monkeys...I thought it was still a good deal at $14.99 but I didn't buy it on sheer principal.

Re: Universal facebook five dollar coupon any BD

I used it today at the BB in Fenton, M to get THE THING for $5. Cashier asked manager, who asked me where I got it (I told her I had done a Universal survey through Facebook) and she approved it although the cashier just deducted $5 from the total rather than trying to scan the coupon.

Close Encounters is a Sony title, no?

I think its one of the few early Speilbergs that is not Universal.

Re: Universal facebook five dollar coupon any BD

The BB reports are stressing me out. They've been giving away Disney BD with so many coupons, I can't imagine why they'd have a problem with $5 off when I go in for Apollo 13 (And Leap Year next month...I only have two).

I glanced at the BR for The Thing and it seems to lack the wonderful documentary that the decade-old DVD had. Is that actually the case?

...natch! American Gangster is no longer sharing "Plan A," it seems.
