I could, but not sure if I would need to have the printer installed on my laptop (still getting used to the laptop). In any event I'm not sure how I would go about getting the coupons. I guess I would have to check my cookies or something to look for the specific URL as the direct link to the coupons

If its a brand new laptop, and an older printer, the printer should be recognized automatically. Even if it isn't automatically recognized, you can google the installer online from the manufacterer's website.

BestBuy.com has it that cheap and I saw it for that price at FYE in-store. I'll probably go there since I have a Backstage Pass, so it'll be even cheaper.

You could get your self a domain with email. Setup account make it all up even the email. Then move on. I own my own. What I do is use the name of the website or company. This way say dvdtalk@hocke####.com starts gettting spam I know who sold it.

Or just start an email account somewhere (ie gmail, yahoo) that is just for junk that you don't want in your regular email, that's what I do.

That's ridiculous. Like any database, they can only store the information that people provide. I use Facebook to keep in touch with some of my nieces and nephews and the only information FB has is my name and an email address. I am amazed at the amount of info folks put on FB but that's the users' fault. If you don't want your personal info stolen at FB then don't put it online and don't share it with every person that asks for it.

I just picked up The Last Starfighter for $10 at Best Buy. The cute cashier girl first had to match their website price, which required a manager to come over and authorize. Then he and she both looked at the coupon and she stated that it may not work, scanned it and it did not, so they manually entered it with no hesitation. He just made sure to tell her to save the coupon so they could send it in to the studio.

I was rejected at my second BB last night. They used the same "any regular price" argument.

She said it may not work because they just adjusted the price to match the website, but then proceeded to manually accept it anyway. I thought that was odd, but nice.

I didn't even have any proof with me of the website price. Just told her that it was and that the guy in the music/movies department confirmed it for me (which he did).

What I'm smacking myself for now is, not only did I forget to have her scan my RZ card, but I also forgot about the $10 GC I had in my wallet.

Just enter the missing transaction on the website.

As for the $10 GC, I think that has to include tax (i.e a $9.99 BD won't work as the $10 GC 'includes' tax).

I forgot you could enter those afterwards. Thanks. (EDIT: looks like I may have to wait a day or 2)

The coupon was taken off after tax. I was charged the tax on $14.99. Is that normally how it works? As for the GC, I'll just save it for Avatar.

Re: Universal facebook five dollar coupon any BD

Went to a different Best Buy and used my second coupon I printed with Scropion King Blu. $14.99-5 = $9.99! No problems. Also priced matched walmart.com for Collector at $16 which shocked me since they usually give me issues with a .com print out lately.

Every time I use a coupon on a blu-ray (Disney included) I get charged the tax BEFORE the coupon. It seems that's how it always works...

Just got Knocked Up for $5.69! Sweet!!

Here's a compiled list of Best Buy Universal Blu-rays you can use with the coupon for final purchase cost from $4.99-$10.99 before tax. (Tax is total cost before coupon applied.)

Yeah, my cashier originally said I couldn't price match bestbuy.com AND use the coupon, since that was "two promotions". I told her that's one policy and one promotion, and I asked her to ask the manager. He said it was fine (as a one-time exception, she claims), so I got it. She never gave me any guff over the "regular price" part of the coupon. I kind of gave the vague impression that that was a regular price on the website i.e. "can you match the price on your website" vs. "can you match the sale price on your website."

Went back today and got Land of the Dead. The cashier did the same thing again, didn't scan it just typed in a couple keys.

Doesn't work that way. Each coupon is unique.

Re: Universal facebook five dollar coupon any BD

Well I think technically it would work that way since Best Buy has just been manually removing $5, until Best Buy tried to get their money back from Universal and Universal gives them the finger for accepting photocopied coupons.

Re: Universal facebook five dollar coupon any BD

I filled in all the information, voted, declared myself a fan, etc., but can't get the coupon to appear. All it does is ask me to verify my information and opens a new window each time. It even acknowledges I've cast my vote, but no coupon appears.

They know you are not a REAL fan and that you are doing this just for the coupon.

Re: Universal facebook five dollar coupon any BD

So no one has had a problem at BB with this? I don't have an immediate need for this, but I plan to use it on Apollo 13 next week and Leap Year (5/4). I just wanted to know if the cashiers were taking the coupons or if they were calling the managers and giving people are hard time about whether or not they knew they could accept it.
