I just received an e-mail from the Disney Movie Club, where they are offering blu-rays for $20. Would someone let them know that $20 isnt a deal for a blu-ray, especially a disney one.

Tell me about it. I bet that some people here have bought all of the Disney BDs for negative $, given all the coupons and deals those releases get.

It's A Wonderful Life has dropped to $15.99

I've been keeping an eye on it for weeks, and the price has been stuck in the $20 range. I was hoping for a deal around $12. But I'm tired of waiting. $16 isn't too bad.

Shoot. Paid $10.49 for this title yesterday. Listed as Shipping Soon. I spend enough money on Amazon. I think I'll write and see if I can't get an adjustment. I'm just going to turn around and spend that $2.50 on their site anyway. :p

Once again, thanks to all for the updates. Main post should be (mostly) current.

I have been letting my PS3 gather dust and never really bit the bullet on starting a blu ray library...seeing these prices I couldn't anymore. Got a good 20 titles in one order.

You will not regret it. It is a shame that it took you this long but now you are getting titles on the cheap.

I just got my PS3 this week, along with my first Blu-ray movies. I was one of the first to buy a DVD player now I'm way behind with this Blu-ray stuff! Some of my friends are on their 3rd HD TV, I'm only buying my first sometime early next year! I guess part of the reason is I wanted to see who won the HD/Blu-ray wars.

I haven't been this excited about good deals on DVD's since 1999.

I feel so ashamed.

I am very pleased with the Amazon Black Friday Blu Ray Sale. The prices were very competitive with B&M stores, they've provided us with a schedule of the sale, and the prices a day before the actual sale. And if you're really interested in a specific title, and made the effort to be online at the scheduled time, you will get your blu. I think everyone who was online within the first four minutes got their deal. Way to go! I'm hoping they'll provide schedules as well for their other items (video games, others) next year.

So now my wallet's thin but I'm happy :) Great Job Amazon!

I think you are right...and I think this may create a monster, LOL. I had all of three blu rays previously, all gifts. Apocalypto was one, and it was breathtaking (picture/sound wise) but even with that experience, and even though I already spend a LOT on DVDs, I had a really hard time swallowing the initial blu ray prices. Especially for (what would be) double dips!

(I work with thousands of DVD titles too....but no Blu Ray....that didn't help! I was always seeing something for the "next" thing!)

It looks like Braveheart, Gladiator, and Ice Age 3 have all went up in price, as well others such as the Harry Potters. Even The Passion of the Christ went up a buck to $8.99 from $7.99. I'm glad I ordered that one last night for $7.99 right before bed.

In for Braveheart at 10 bucks. The complaints about Gladiator scared me off, though it probably would have looked at least worth 10 bucks.

Back up to 19.99. :( Maybe I should get it anyway.

I liked it too. I have to wonder why this, of all titles, doesn't include deleted scenes. My uncle was actually in the bar scene originally, but they changed it at the last minute for some reason. Would've been funny if there was at least a deleted scene with him. Well, at least he got to meet Bruce Willis. lol

I hope all the decent prices aren't gonna shoot back up before Monday. :(

That's a no brainer for me. A movie I've always loved but never owned on DVD with a solid transfer at the lowest price I've ever seen. I can't click checkout fast enough.

I'll second that...after looking it over I think I am going back for another round. I definitely missed Jewel of the Nile.
