Yeah.. I actually requested two and got one of them (the least expensive of the two adjustments). On the other, they sent me an e-mail thanking me for my patronage, followed by what seemed like a "sorry, loser" type explanation of why they couldnt possibly adjust the price on a digital camera I bought last night.

So, I sent an email back and while I was very nice, I basically reminded them of past practices and the fact that I have spent ALOT of money with them since May without issue or incident. Maybe it works.. all you can do is try.

Hellboy 2 dropped from $14.99 to $12.99 after I ordered it and it was listed as Shipping Soon, but Amazon refunded me the $2.00 (against their policy, one-time exception spiel), so sometimes you can get it so it doesn't hurt to ask.

It might hurt. Amazon had a mass banning of customers last year and one of the causes cited for the banning was too many price adjustment requests.

Shipment date for Ronin has shifted to 3-5 weeks. It's a shame, as I was waiting to tack it onto another order today as a Christmas gift. :(

Does Amazon usually ship their Blu-rays with Slipcovers? This is my 1st time ordering from them and several of them should have slip covers.

Yes.. if the BD would normally come with a slipcover, you'll get one.

They ship them until they run out of them. Generally, once they sell through their first stock of a title they get restocked, and these usually don't have slipcovers.

I'm hoping I get slipcovers with Gladiator and Braveheart ... or else I will have to pick them up somewhere else and then return the cover-less copies :).

FWIW, I generally try and order slipcover titles early and once in awhile I send titles back if they don't have one. I ordered the four fast and furious movies last month and Tokyo Drift didn't have a slipcover anymore. Since the four movies go together on the shelf I sent that one back and bought it from Target. It's generally a crap shoot. I wouldn't expect some of the titles to have them, like Speed Racer, because they have been available for a long time. You never know though.

Actually, the majority of my bill this month is because I picked up seven Futureshop Steelbooks on Ebay. Amazon/BN Criterion sale took the other half.

I was waiting on that drop.. it sure took them long enough to do it.

I see that Amazon has also dropped First Blood and Rambo: First Blood Part 2 to $7.99. Since I kept missing the 3-disc Rambo set at $19.99, if they drop Rambo III, I'll go ahead and buy them.

I have to give Amazon some credit during this sale. I e-mailed them because I spent ten dollars on the Harry Potter blu-ray and then it sank down to $7.99 for the deal. I explained that I bought it because the price was going to essentially be the same and they refunded me three dollars. I never figured I would get a refund since it was a sale, but they really stepped up and honored their deals.

I've spent 9.50 more than if I had waited (up and monster deal being $15 off now, a couple of price drops). All well, not too bad considering all the price drops that has happened the last few days. Still got much more than I anticipating even buying this yr.
